If this is true he would be insane to let her move in. She will find a way to take half of it off him if things go south.
Honestly this. Husband bought before we were married and his solicitor told him to get a rental agreement from me “in case things don’t work out”. Because after 2 years of a relationship I could claim part of the house legally like paying bills etc. said in in front of me 😂 I wasn’t going on the deeds, it didn’t make financial sense at the time but were since married so makes no odds now 😂 but yes, if it’s not in writing that they’ve a rental agreement, she could claim she’s been paying the mortgage after two years and claim partial ownership. His solicitor should warn him. Also it will impede her chance of first time buyer grant then apparently as she was contributing to a mortgage in a common law marriage or something 🤷🏼‍♀️ maybe that was the solicitor bullshitting to make me feel better though because he was gonna get a headbutt from the pair of us 😂
