Even Krista doesn't really add much.

Someone with 1.6 million followers getting under not just 500k, but way under 100k, is wild.

I saw that a very large percentage of Youtube viewers don't really watch - they just have it on. Plus the trend seems to be towards longer videos, which seemingly score better with the YT formula. So of course JJ will follow the crowd like the sheep he is.

Yeah long form is the new thing. I posted a video up thread which explains this change and the same video also explains how content needs to still be good. You can't just create a long video and that's it. And that's where jojo falls down, the quality of his content isn't very high. There's no authenticity or integrity there.

It's all about the appearance of being a youtuber and chasing the views, but without any planning or creating worthwhile content
 
I use long form videos almost like podcasts. A lot of time, I’ll have them playing when I’m cooking or doing other things around my apartment. But I also tend to gravitate to doing that with videos from creators who know their subjects or at least put interesting spins on things.

In spite of everything, I don’t think JoJo is a terrible creator, but knowledgeable he is not. I think he could actually be somewhat successful if he applied himself, but he’s lazy.

Agreed that he's lazy. Almost to the point where it comes across like he doesn't need to put in effort because of his subscriber count.
