Thats one way to burn a hoover out! Theres gotta be better ways than doing that, he'll become reliant upon it. My daughter used to fall sleep with the hoover on, granted I was actually hoovering up! But she stayed asleep when I was done, I would never just leave it on.

I was gunna say why not just play a video of it , my son used to love white noise and there was a 10 hour version on YouTube that we would put on an ipad in his room every night I ended up buying a white noise teddy for practicality

It would surely make more sense to play the YouTube audio of a vacuum, I agree.
I remember in the special they said Maeva hoovers when she's stressed. So maybe he associates the sound with her presence. Maybe he can't sleep, according to her preffered schedule, as he fears she might be off again.

On a related note I wonder if this post is scientifically true. If so, it's sad to leave your newborn so often.

I used to put the hover on to get the baby to sleep. It was only when I mentioned it to a friend she told me you can just get a recording of YouTube. Maeva and James probably just don't know it's on YouTube.

I know it really is sad. Especially when a baby has been in the womb for 9 months. Used to their mums heart beat and the warmth of the womb. Then to go into a Moses basket and other things it must feel strange.

I’m not sure walking on a treadmill with a baby in a sling is a great idea either, even if he was in the carrier properly. Why not just go out for a walk in the fresh air?

They managed to take Beau with them all the way to London. So I don't see why a local park walk would have hurt. I forget, her agrophobia is specific to po'dunk towns.
