I know it really is sad. Especially when a baby has been in the womb for 9 months. Used to their mums heart beat and the warmth of the womb. Then to go into a Moses basket and other things it must feel strange.It would surely make more sense to play the YouTube audio of a vacuum, I agree.
I remember in the special they said Maeva hoovers when she's stressed. So maybe he associates the sound with her presence. Maybe he can't sleep, according to her preffered schedule, as he fears she might be off again.
On a related note I wonder if this post is scientifically true. If so, it's sad to leave your newborn so often.
