When I see photos of that little boy he is very cute, but his eye contact is super poor. I noticed it a while ago , but assumed it was just because he was tiny , now I really wonder if it’s something else. He seems genuinely detached . Maybe I am over analysing, but he is just never “ present “ in any photos ?

I agree, somethings a little off. I’ve thought it for a while

Yeah I’m suspicious about the dog too. It seemed very out of the blue and I would actually have expected them to share if he was ill and reach out to their followers for help. Our dog developed a fast growing cancer but there was still time to share his remaining days with him whilst he was ok in himself, and also discuss options and not immediately put him to sleep.

I don’t think it was to do with not coping because then I don’t know why they would want to get another so soon if that was the case.

Maybe he had an accident or it was something else that they felt they would be judged on. I don’t know anything about the breed or those breeders but they wouldn’t be the first influencers to not do their due diligence and for their dog to die suddenly due to breeding issues/puppy farm issues.

So I don’t think I believe them re cancer.

I’ve always thought Beau seemed quite vacant and not engaged. But my children are autistic so I’m not as familiar with typical child development. It’s the same with Leo (Louise from MIC’s son), you never see any real natural smiling and happiness. But maybe the kids have had the camera shoved in their face too much.

I would say it is hard for a child to make eye contact through a phone. Also they can’t see the adults expression cos of the phone so I would say maybe that’s why he is looking vacant. I’m not an expert but that’s my thinking.

This reminds me of Lauren Goodger's child - she seems vacant and all she has known is LG shoving a phone in her face from birth and doing selfies, stories ete or she's propped up in front of an iPad/TV all day with no real engagement or activities.

I’ve noticed he never reacts when she says his name… sometimes she’s filming him and says his name 4 or 5 times but he doesn’t even look up… maybe he’s learnt early that ignoring her is the way to go 😂

It probs doesn’t help that ‘Beau’ is quite hard to say for a non French speaker. His name probs gets pronounced all sorts of ways and babies have such sensitive hearing 😂 he probs has no consistency in how he hears his name

I’ve seen Beau smile more than Leo (Louise Thompson’s boy). With Louise they have posted videos where they are both in front of the camera and Leo is always avoiding eye contact with her and turning away. I don’t think we’ve seen many videos of Maeva with Beau in front of the camera so it’s hard to tell (if she’s behind the camera then I don’t think it means much if he doesn’t smile as could just be distracted by it).

I think both Maeva and Louise had severe issues with bonding and I think they both come across as extremely emotionally unavailable. Having emotionally unavailable parents can cause childhood trauma in the form of childhood emotional neglect. Psychologists already believe CEN is an epidemic but I think we are going to see an explosion of this with influencer kids.

I don’t think it’s the being behind a physical phone / camera that’s the problem as in reality i don’t think it takes up hours of the day. But more that if you feel happy to share so much of your baby/child when you’ve got hundreds and thousands of strangers following you (over a million for Louise) and an openly public profile, and that you are quite happy to talk negatively about your child (more louise) and how terrible having a child is (which being so public will become part of the digital footprint of the child to see when they are older) then you can’t really have much empathy or connection with your child and I think that’s what’s damaging. The narcissism and self absorption. Their need for likes and attention over what’s best for their child. Which is very common among these influencers! So not the phone/camera per se.

I wonder with Leo as Sam is autistic and has adhd whether they’ll be watching Leo as it typically runs in families (I’ve got two autistic children with adhd).

I feel so sorry for these kids whose every movement not to mention that of their crazy parents is put on social media. It leaves them so exposed. And so many of these parents seem obsessed with social media and it feels like the kids are going to be quite damaged by having a camera shoved in their faces.

I actually think Louise has adhd. (I have it too). I can see so many traits in her. Doesn’t excuse her being a dick but would explain a lot! I expect it’s not a label she would want though and has a similar attitude towards it like their mum did with Sam.

Yeah the hyperfocus like cleaning/sorting out/perfectionism and then feeling drained! It’s not necessarily laziness… anyway that’s probs more for the Louise thread
To be fair Maeva doesn’t film Beau as much as SOME influencers do. I think a few videos a day are probs fine

I wouldn’t be surprised if Louise was neurodivergent but can’t see her exploring that given her mum’s horrible attitude. That said I don’t think Louise would ever be likeable. Sam however comes across as a likeable cheeky chappy and I love him and Pete (suspect Pete is autistic like his nephew). Louise is like unpleasant and Ryan is just grim.

Was sams mum not happy about it??
