Yep, Beau free holiday at two months old. Probably skiing? James has posted a separate video of just him and Maeva on the train. It’s an ad for some house plant thing but mentions going away for a week.

We all know James didn’t want a child yet but no idea why Maeva was so keen if she was happy to just dump him all the time.

And here's me feeling guilty for going to a hair appt when my baby is 7mo 🙄 I'm all for parents having time to themselves but they may as well put his mother on the birth certificate at this rate
 
I know two month olds can’t go skiing like older children can but why not take him ? I think I posted before about working in ski resorts and the youngest baby I looked after was 5 weeks old. Firstly I’m amazed the mum felt physically capable of skiing so soon after birth but secondly, she did always come back for the afternoons and took over care of the baby. She still had him in the evenings and overnight.

But for these two they are in a mindset of needing a whole week break from him - in another country FFS! When they already had ten days over new year!! I can’t get my head around it all. They can’t possibly have a strong bond with him to be able to do this at such a young age.

How much time does James actually spend with Beau? Seems like if he takes any time off work he spends it away from him like Xmas skiing / New year with Maeva instead of Beau. Now this. And didn’t someone say James worked away a lot? James in particular is acting like nothing has changed in his life.
 
I have never heard of someone going away on holiday and leaving a two month old at home it is bizarre

Not only is it unfair to the baby it's out of order to who ever is left looking after them

I thought maybe Maeva would improve when she became a mother but this is another hideous element of her which makes the nasty spiteful side of her in MIC pale in comparison
 
Wow I’m horrified! I gave birth a couple of weeks before them with my first and I can’t comprehend it! I’ve gone out of dinner at Christmas with the girls while he was with his dad and done the odd lunch at the weekend- again while he’s with his dad but he won’t be left overnight until he’s 6 months old when we have a wedding to go to. I can’t understand how you would WANT to go away without him at this point! Also the poor little thing is going to wonder what happened to his mummy!

Those newborn days are so precious; I don’t begrudge any parents a bit of downtime now and then but these guys have taken the piss!

I don’t think we should start insulting James’ mum. She seems to be the only one who cares about beau. We should be calling her an angel for dropping everything and caring for Beau when seemingly no one else not even his own parents can be bothered to. She doesn’t have to keep looking after him, but she does because she knows if she doesn’t he’ll probably be sent off to some stranger or Maeva and James will just resent him for taking away their “precious free-time”.

They’re not even his friends who posted this. He just went up to some random people like that.

I’m not insulting her. She is being a bit of a push over. She had the baby for 10 days and now this. It’s a lot to ask of someone with a new born! How many times is she gonna be up with beau. I’m sure it’s the last thing she wants to do. But she’ll do it cos it’s her son and her grandson. All I mean is she could at least say to James NO. Maybe she did but did it anyway.
Considering maeva didn’t really like her when she’s pregnant she sure doesn’t mind palming her son off to her!!
All I know is if I’d asked my mum to have my new born baby for a week when I went on holiday I can bet she’d have told me to grow up

Least beau looks happy with his grandma

I’m torn over grandma. As CD28 above points out, they’d be palming him off on god knows who if she didn’t step up. But she is also enabling this behaviour. There can’t be much of a parental bond if they can easily dump Beau at newborn stage.

It just seems like she trapped James by getting pregnant, when he was nowhere ready for parenthood (nor marriage IMO) and he’s conveying this. Apart from influencer opportunities, she also hasn't taken to motherhood to say the least and treats Beau as an inconvenience. Like a child who’s got bored with a new toy.

I couldn’t imagine his mum would say no. But it’s just a lot to ask. It lies with them not giving a tit really. His mum is a good person.

Agreed. I don’t even think she wanted a baby. I feel awful saying that but she’s not acting very motherly. I don’t know how she can say she misses him when she’s dropped him at every opportunity. The new born stages are precious and one of my favourites ( I mean I’ve only done it once but I loved it. I used to hold mine when he was sleeping etc) you don’t get them back and before you know it they’re 4 years old. They grow so quick she should be cherishing the stages 😓
