I think there has to be more to Charlene's refusal than the spider issue. I also don't think its her fear if being seen as complicit with Matt by sharing a room. It could be something personal. Like maybe her partner/husband is a bit of a looper and forbids her from being alone with a man. Maybe she snores/farts like a warthog and fears being in a somewhat enclosed space would make it more obvious. Either way she should have at least fallen on her sword and offered to take a hammock instead.

It's so lame that she didn't do that.
 
Owen has gone up to 2nd in the betting odds to win and Scarlett has gone up while BG has gone down. No change with Charleen dead last.

I wonder what will happen when Boy George leaves - will he blame PK his manager for persuading him to take part? Because the way he is coming across wasn't in their plan. PK would have known what George can be like but obviously wouldn't have realised he would come across that badly.

Possibly...but making a stand surely involves telling people why you're doing what you're doing, so your motive is clear....and while it's actually happening, not afterwards! Nobody will get behind her if she doesn't even have the courage to back herself!

Obviously it could be awkward to discuss her true reasons but a proper journalist should be able to find the words. 😂
 
I’m probably being well out of order but not sure news readers should be arsing around on this sort of show unless they know they can behave 100% impeccably. Maybe charlene wants to go more down the loose women route than national news. I don’t think she has come across particularly well or likeable so not sure which way her career will go but she’s probably an itv chosen so will no doubt be shoved on us regardless.

Scarlette isn’t a journalist but showed her skills as a presenter by asking that awkward question.
