No but he said how awful it was during Covid when he couldn’t see his mum in hospital. When it affects you/a close relative I think you can take the high ground on that subject.
I’d find it very hard to bite my tongue in those circumstances.
That’s why I can’t understand Charlene behaving as she is. Obviously worried about how she’d come across to the viewers. I don’t like her but ffs woman, these wankers broke the rules while we lost our loved ones and we abided by them. Rip him a new one rather than being nice to his face.
I had to take my eldest child, who was 20 at the time, to say goodbye to his father through a window. My son is autistic which made the whole thing even more complicated. It was bloody awful to be honest and I've shut it away in the back of my memory somewhere.

I can accept that Hancock wasn't entirely to blame but I don't think I could sit there with him like that. It's difficult. I find watching him difficult if I'm honest. However I'm also trying to be reasonably minded and I accept that he was just a person doing his job. He is ruining a 'light' entertainment programme in my opinion though.

I may be wrong but didn't Seann just kiss Katya and not have an affair or sleep with her. Not that that is OK when you're in a relationship but fgs get a grip

I haven’t a clue. I don’t watch Strictly, but I have to say I do welcome Seann slander, as his fake laugh being terminally present throughout most of this episode, was just as cringe-inducing as Matt himself.

It’s his normal laugh Tbf, heard on podcasts etc

i agree it was a lot of laughing though, hopefully he’ll calm down a bit

You catch more flies with honey than with vinegar
What a great saying!

Im so sorry. It’s when I hear stories like this, I feel guilty for laughing along with this TV show, as it’s like Matt Hancock is profiting from his notoriety gained from being part of a team, responsible for the greatest fuck up in the modern political landscape. ITV need to be held accountable for giving him a platform. They’re a corrupt TV network.

the daily mail caught them which put a halt to the full affair. I just thought he treated his gf at the time terribly. She questioned the relationship as she thought something was going on and he basically gaslit her and said it was in her head and she controlling. This gf had been attending and cheering him on in said show. His treatment of her just makes me think there’s a real nasty side to him.

I’m so very sorry.
It was so hard wasn’t it? I don’t think I’ll ever get over having to say goodbye to my Dad on the telephone. He deserved better as did your husband. I will carry the guilt that I let my Dad down, through no fault of my own, for the rest of my life.
Going to step away from the thread for tonight because it’s bringing things to the surface which are upsetting. I’m sure we aren’t the only ones feeling like this. Much love to you and your family xx

I’ve just popped along to Denise Welch’s Twitter page, seeing as she’s made her feelings on Matt Hancock quite clear, and as suspected she’s quite openly telling him to fuck off, and one of the comments on her tweets, reminded me of how miserable, people on Twitter are 😩. I don’t know whether to laugh or cry:

Denise why is it necessary to use profanities…. You disgrace yourself and your gender. Use the Kings English and normal people might consider your point valid..

Please don't feel guilty because all of us lived through the pandemic and suffered in one way or another.

It is entirely government judgement error that he is on our TV. I genuinely believe he's done this with the full blessing of Rishi.

I can't tell people how to feel about him. Clearly I'm hugely biased. People just have to take him as they find him.

Welch is a rancid old ratbag , anyway 🤣🤣

Boy George is making charlene look better.

I found mart quite entertaining. I didn’t like the way they all Ganges up on him.

scarlett was really rude to him.

It feels like bullying.
I thought Charlene, Scarlette, Sue, Baba, BG let themselves all down tonight. Rude, folded arms, pointed comments. Especially Charlene, taking the moral high ground - as if entertainment type celebs have more of a right to be there than a politician.
Not a great fan of Matt Hancock but gone right off the lot of them.
Would like to see Charlene first out.

This. She has written a book about her ordeal and the aftermath of that kiss (which happened on her birthday!). What she was put through by Seann is awful. The book is called Why did you stay and her name is Rebecca Humphries. Definitely worth a read. I love I'm a celebrity but disappointed they've given MH and SW a platform, also BG, didn't know about his incident until today! It's all a bit twisted isn't it?! Are we supposed to warm to these abusive lying men?! 😕

I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up quite popular with the public and goes far. This task with him and Sean has given both of them a headstart. He's come over well and been a good laugh so far.

Who was Sue talking about when she told Boy George why he came in and what he's doing is not our responsibility? If it's Boy George questioning why Hancock is in there then he really does have a cheek given his history. If there's anyone who shouldn't be in that camp it's him.
Gone off Sue now. Showed a lack of class tonight.

I just can't take to Denise Welch.

Even in Corrie I hated the way her character Natalie was sainted for breaking up a marriage.

"Hard-faced Jezebel" as Vera quite rightly called her!
