But even though he was being briefed by top health officals and civil servants during COVID he didn't seem very knowlegable about the illness or its effects etc. His eyes would glaze over and you could tell he didn't really know how to answer pertinent questions that he was being asked. I would have been so embarrassed about my poor performance as minister, no way would I go on a reality show on on television. He doesn't give a damn and like you say regards the ordinary people who suffered under his period as health minister as plebs.

I’m not saying I disagree but maybe just possibly she has stronger feelings against Matt?

We British are so damn polite. I’m Scottish so less so 🤣.
The point being that after everything we’ve been through as a country and the feelings we all have about it- no one really said anything. Mustn’t rock the boat - don’t want to come off rude etc
Arseholes like Hancock rely on our inate politeness to get away with the shit they pull. The only person who benefits from it is him.

What has her being ‘a young clack woman got to do worn anything?’. Are you trying to imply that people are racist for criticizing her? If so then that is quite frankly ridiculous.

This is only the beginning, they are all trying to be "nice" at the moment, wait for the hunger pangs to kick in and the clashes will start to escalate I don't think that this is a nicey nicey year. I wonder if alcohol will be brought into the mix?

I find her personality dislikeable and would do so whatever colour she was, I don't like Chris M but not because he is white I like Bamba but again not because he is black I find his sunny nature likeable.

I don’t watch Loose women because of the kind of dialogue they have on it- very little facts. Just who shouts most.

As soon as I realised Charlene worked on it - it’s quite clear who she is. Not a fan. Although she was fabulous on her first trial.

Meant the mixture of optics and intersectionality but it’s not that deep really. Just stating an opinion!

Agree, there's some fiery characters in there and some nasty pieces of work.

Maybe Im too cycnical but I think Olivia signed up to do 24 hours and there is no way the others didnt know that Matt hancock would be joining them, so all the fake shock and surprise is disingenuous.

I think there’s a chance they didn’t know. Matt wasn’t announced till the 1st November and wouldn’t they have been in isolation already at that point preparing to go in
 
Whoever is in charge of casting for the jungle is loving life right now, all they wanted was contestants who people are talking about and tuning into watch for whatever reason and they definitely have got that.

Do I think Matt Hancock is a total twat absolutely but did I enjoy watching him last night, definitely I can’t remember the last time I laughed so much watching a trial. It is an entertainment show at the end of the day, laughing and enjoying (I dare say) doesn’t mean I agree with what’s happened or now like him

I don’t see a problem with Matt Hancock being in the jungle and I do think his decision to go in will make or break him. Behind the person is a human being, and I think we should give him a fair chance to see the person behind the news headlines and criticism, which is often hyped up to a narrative to paint people in the most negative light possible.

The pandemic isn’t solely down to Matt Hancock’s doing? He isn’t the first or last politician to break covid rules and he isn’t the first person to cheat on his partner (Sean Walsh? Mike Tindall?). Boy George also remember did a stint in jail and has skeletons in his closet too?

Whatever happened to the be kind narrative? Or does that only apply to the holier than now people?

I hope he smashes the trial tonight and brings home every star to camp and if be, smash every trial - because ultimately it will be boring viewing. I’d much rather see Charlene do a trial to be honest!

I don't mind Charlene asking Matt questions, if she is a journalist, you can't help being one. I struggle to switch off from my job. It's a mindset and way of thinking/acting that becomes part of your personality.
My issue of with Charlene is her bossy personality and taking over in the kitchen. How hard can it be for one of them to come up with a rota? It's not rocket science. I am not impressed by the bitching behind Charlene's back though. Just be frank with her to her face tell her she is coming on a bit strong and suggest a rota for cooking and other tasks in there.

About Seannnnnnn cheating on his girlfriend being in the press. I don't remember who dumped who though. If he snogged someone else and dumped his girlfriend, AND he was coercive and controlling, I would expect his girlfriend to think she had dodged a bullet. Here reaction smacked of heartbreak and revenge though, which leads me to question her story. Unless she found it very difficult to leave him, which I know is very common.

The camp should naturally slide into their natural roles. Here is how I see it so far

Natural Leaders: Mike, Matt, Jill
Betas who think they are Alphas: Charlene, Chris
Whiney Whingers who just moan and Bitch with no attempt to do anything helpful: Sue, Boy George, Scarlette,
Follower: Seannnn
Easy going and likeable: Babatunde, Owen
Olivia has obviously gone, not sure what box I would have put her in

I am likely to change my mind and move people around a bit as the show progresses
EDIT: I forgot Owen! I will put him with Baba

Hmmmm announced to the public on 1 November, I cant believe the others didnt know. It's probably a lot of the reason some of them signed up, Matt Hancock, love him or loathe him, is a big name to get in there, it will be a series remembered for him.
 
Has it actually been said that the same person can't do back to back trials?

Either way Charlene will probably do one soon if that's true or if it's a two person trial. Will be interesting her seeing her react to realising she isn't going down well.
