I am a woman.
my dad was misogynistic, abusive, and the rest doesn’t have anything to do with here.
i Didn’t read to much into it to be honest as it doesn’t affect me. I’m a strong independent woman. I can’t change peoples views.
I can only control my behaviours and views no one else’s.
my hubby is very supportive and split life down the middle. I married the person who has the same views as me and respect as me. So the rest is other people’s problems not mine. ❤

It‘s actually a very misogynistic post (not what you said), the reason being of all the things to pull up that people have lied about, that person has chosen to pull up something about women, not men, even the mother over Huw. Not only that, women that lie about being sexually abused. I think is around 3 or 4% but I could be wrong, but it’s a very, very tiny amount of women that lie (which is not okay I’m not defending them) compared to those who have been sexually abused. What makes it even worse when women do report it very few of them are believed by the Police, so it goes no further. So I would say using that example of people not telling the truth/lying, is possibly one of the worst that could be used and very anti-women and damaging, whether they meant it or not.

Not specific to HE but in general,

The completed suicide rate for people who Narcissistic Personality Disorder is commonly stated to be exceptionally high, around 10% even, often with the person showing no prior sign and not having asked for support or help or made threats or warnings (unlike people with BPD who have an equally high or even higher risk around or above 10% but are usually known and frequently ask for help or make multiple prior attempts).

It is also a fact that people with any antisocial, narcissistic, or criminal types of personality tend to be high risk of premature death that could be considered a form of indirect suicide for multitudes of reasons that could be over-arching described as reckless or high risk or careless activities, such as participating in extreme sports, driving dangerously, hanging out with dangerous people, or using drugs etc.

When one really starts to get into it, it's very clear to see that anyone controlling and abusive or criminal is also maybe at least one of the 10% high suicide and probably in the 'indirect suicide' risk also.

The problem is that how does society or the criminal justice system or employers or even the victims of the abuse themself 'manage' that because people can't just buy into the notion of 'you can't hold me culpable, I'm suicidal, I could die' ?

I know it probably originated from his crisis comms person but shame on the people who published this mysterious poll saying a sizeable amount of people wanted him back on TV. Maybe if a lot of time had passed, but now? Way too soon when we don't even know the full facts yet, how bad it really was or wasn't.

It's probably not even real in any way whatsoever. One would need to know a whole lot more about it and fact check and verify. Then it would turn out to be something totally spurious no doubt.

Totally agree. And won't they all have egg on their faces if this was just the tip of the iceberg and there are worse things that maybe revealed in the future.

I’ve been on Venlafaxine until very recently, when I was weaned off *very* slowly to swap to something different.
Ven withdrawal is brutal. It really messes with your entire body and brain. Honestly I can’t begin to explain how hard it was.

It's also not a first line drug to prescribe.

I don’t doubt he suffers with his mental health for many reasons. And I can well imagine he’s hit rocket bottom, it can’t be nice to be shown up and so publicly for being the dirty old man he is, when he was probably seen as anything but before.
He will have to face the music sometime, so I say allow him time to get better so he has no excuses when he is later questioned.

Imagine HE downloading the dating App (once he had his MH crisis) and drooling over youngsters offering whatever he wanted for a price. Like a candy store. Who knows how he had satisfied his urges up until then?

Meanwhile a mum had become estranged from her 17 year old son who was also on the App and who needed funds for a coke addiction.

3 years of sexual content exchanges and 30 grand, the mum notices a photo of Huw in his undies on her cocaine addicted son’s phone.

I would go medieval as a mum! At some point her son must’ve told her it’s been going on 3 years and that Huw has paid good money for the personal content.

Huw contacting the guy and telling him to get his mum to back off is awful! The guy fears funding for his addiction will stop, no wonder he doesn’t want Huw to get in trouble.

I don't think people think he's lying or covering tracks so much as just feeling frustrated that at the present moment he's escaped / evaded culpability and accountability by crying 'mental health' (or addiction which counts as mental health anyhow).

The comfort we can all take, is that unless he actually dies (which could happen, is always a risk when people are held to account), then he will be held accountable at some point in the future and the day will come. Because I guarantee the BBC will not continue to work with him or employ him in any way whatsoever and they want out by any means necessary. They played dirty trying to evade the allegation in the first place. Now they'll play even dirtier trying to find any reason whatsoever to have something nasty on him and they will go public as heck to try and vindicate themselves. It's not gonna be there there Huw you're not well how about you take early medical retirement.

Venlafaxine withdrawals are horrendous! I am a complete idiot and went cold turkey (because doctors wouldn’t listen to me that I wanted to gradually go off it so I just did my own thing) and it was a hideous few weeks. I feel for you. I am on Fluoxetine now, which isn’t as effective but I don’t get brain jolts if I by mistake miss a dose.

Considering he’s known to have had issues for at least 20 years, that does show a staggering amount of forward planning and really should be applauded.
