Yeah, he's so unlikeable. He has such an attitude to everyone, eyes always rolling in his head. It really annoys me the way John treats him like he's royalty. Especially since John can be so hard on other people.

John is so kind to him and treats him like a son/nephew. Nic rarely returns that respect and kindness.
Surely the actor must be coming to the end of his contract? Hope it won't be renewed. I mean either that or give the character a head injury and total personality transplant because I think the problem is mainly the writing, not the actor.

It usually takes me a while to warm to new characters but I always do in the end but I never warmed to Nikau. I follow the actor on Instagram, he comes across as cocky and not likable to me. Like he'll post a selfie video on himself smoking like he's doing something amazing. Like a teen smoking for the first time and wanting people to see it. You're in your mid 20s smoking...amazing.
 
I don't mind his character, I don't dislike Nikau but I also wouldn't be sad to see him go. The thing is, I just can't get past how bad an actor he is 😭 I used to think that H&A had some great actors (Brax made me sob when Casey died) and recently I think Bella was great but the latest additions have been quite bad imo. Nikau can't really act, neither can Xander, Rose is very meh, Cash is very bland as well... Granted, some of it could be due to the writers but Nikau's acting gives me Dr. Drake Ramoray vibes
 
Nikau’s acting has got worse. I think he thinks he’s better than he is. There’s a few like that tbh. I wonder if they’re seen as bigger stars in Australia than over here?

I know someone from Australia once told me that Home and Away isn't that popular over there as it would be here in Ireland.
I've noticed that the cast seek to be constantly posting photos together lately, I wonder is that to publicise the show or are they genuinely that friendly with each other outside of work.

I think I remember a scene from years and years ago of a Christmas tree being in the house that Alf lives in now. There was a young guy who fell against it or knocked it over while having an argument with someone. It was probably a cliffhanger for the end of the season. "Will he survive the tree falling on top of him? Tune in in January to find out!"
 
I really hate the Cash storyline. His acting is terrible but I liked them having a nice, stable, attractive man with a good job! It was all "bad boys", which was great when it was the Braxtons but no one else lives up to that!
It's a really good point about the school kids and the uniforms. I hadn't really noticed, but now you point it out, it really does change the whole tone of the show, they've taken it more grown up and serious, I used to love it when it was some melodramatic teen love triangle.

Is anyone really uneasy at the Theo and that girl in the band relationship? Isn't he 18ish? If she's Flick's age, she has to be in her early 30s no? Love how quickly both Theo and Nikau moved on!

Yes to the comment about Theo and the new girl! I think he's supposed to be 19/20. The band seem to be late 20s/early 30s.

Colby's ending really annoyed me. There was no mention in the trial of what Ross had done to Colby as a child (abuse) or that he had killed both of Colby's parents. He was also planning on killing Colby the day after the wedding and shot Willow! Ross was treated like a poor innocent victim.

Irene is so painful and says very few lines - always, "What can I get ya, luv?" :rolleyes:

I like the new doctor and the guy from the band whose name escapes my foggy brain at this moment ...

Dean and Ziggy are even annoying me at the moment. Mack is just *there* ... it's little wonder most of the contracts are for three years, as most of the characters are only good for one or two storylines.

It used to be super-hard to land a spot on the show - they had very high standards - so I have to wonder how the likes of Xander and Cash get a look-in ... their acting is just so sub-par. Obviously the guy who plays Xander has real-life connections with being related to the Hemsworths, but that shouldn't be enough to get him in. Maybe they chose the guy who plays Cash because he's tall?

I think Nikau may have moved to the US, so at a guess his contract will be up. The guy who played Ari has - with others - bought a block of land in the lower North Island of NZ and was asking for volunteers to go and do tree planting with him a while back.

This insane contrived Heather climax is tripe!! Shame as I think the actress is relatively decent at acting unhinged.

I have warmed to Remi and Brie and although upsetting I think that is a relatively intriguing story. Probably the only one at the moment.
