I always have issues with all4, would love them to put it on tv instead of endless reruns of big bang theory and modern family!

I'm watching 2012 at the moment. I've not seen them before because I think I stopped watching in about 2010 and only started again recently. It's weird watching an old series alongside the current one and being annoyed with Mercedes in both for exactly the same reasons, does she never learn from her mistakes?!

I used to have issues streaming it from my ps4 but now I have a roku box of amazon for about 30qd & can stream everything no problem

Mercedes should have gone a long time ago. Shes had her time, as have most of the other McQueens.
Agreed, but not surprised she's not with the whole twins thing. As someone said earlier her storyline are just so repetitive

That’s interesting because at one point I would have loved to watch just the teens. Like when they used to focus on the uni students and the SU bar but now I’m in my 30’s I want to see Nancy and Darren finally being a happy (ish) family and Mercy pregnant and glowing
I wonder if their target audience is still young adults or it’s the adult adults like us who grew up with it but haven’t stopped watching.

I was a teen when i started watching and it was a very teen heavy cast / collage kids, I dont remember many parents or adults around other then Beka and Jake. Now it's more adults which keeps me watching, if it was still teen based I wouldn't be interested.That’s interesting because at one point I would have loved to watch just the teens. That's a good point, I doubt teens watch live tv at all which is basically what soaps kind of depend on don't they? Big Bang theory I’ll give you, I don’t find it funny at all, but Modern Family is a Modern Day classic lol!

Agree with you for storylines sakes but in my opinion, Mercedes is the “face” of Hollyoaks and has been for a long time. Similar to Phil Mitchell from Eastenders hes been on the same merry go round of storylines for decades, but the show would feel the hit if he left. Had no doubt Mercedes would be safe unless Jennifer turned it down. Feel the same about Warren too which is why I think it was definitely on Jamie’s own terms to leave**.

Tony is the longest running cast member at this point. Unless they’re getting rid of him too, it means they’re going to break up for some reason and also lose that entire family unit as well.

Channel 4/E4 seems like a constant run of Come Dine With Me, Big Bang, and The Simpsons. Ironic that they gave up Friends and said it was for the reason to make way for new content but didn’t replace it with new content when in hindsight that would probably pull in more viewers than any of the American shows they air now. Still also can’t get over that they messed with the Hollyoaks time slot and channel slot just to replace it with 20 year old episodes of The Simpsons. What on Earth were they thinking?
Exactly, the slot hasn't been replaced by ahy5hing better or anything anyone is tuning in to watch on purpose, just background tv
