I canny hack nearly 30 year old women calling themselves “young girls” I’m 27 and would never call myself a girl! Riddy
Hate to defend her, but I’m 27 and sometimes I still refer to myself as a “girl” rather than a “woman” think it’s change of era thing tbh!
However I do hate the way she goes on as if she is a “wee girl” it’s so cringy and makes me question the “title” you are at this age.
Watched her video about the people laughing at the selfie light too. I feel both sides of it, however, I fear it’s just my empathetic side of my personality.
If I was in a restaurant and seen that I’d the be same. I’d question what the person was doing, and think “come on and just live in the moment” and I really do think that, as instagram is just a Snapshot of a moment in time where you look your “best”.
The other part of me thinks, “okay you do this for a living, but why! It’s just so unnatural.”
You see these influencers every day, out in the real world trying to “capture” these “perfect moments in time” it’s all so forced. You never see the realness! It’s just all so staged.
Personally, I’ve actually gotten to stage where I’ve started to unfollow them. It started with Jilly and that huge holiday from maybeline. It drew the line for me. It’s unrealistic and sooo un relatable. Like seriously, who finds that relatable. I really did like Jilly. But who is honestly finding that content relatable. Influencer culture is on the way down, and I couldn’t be happier about it.
