Have you ever complained about a tv show?

A few months ago I complained to the BBC about deadly 60 as although I am all for educating about animal welfare I felt it was not appropriate to show monkeys being used in the meat trade, it was quite graphic.

Their reply gave me the impression they don’t like to think they ever do anything wrong and children are intelligent enough to watch such images. Wtf?! Yes they are intelligent so give them the choice of watching or not by putting a warning on there like they do on other shows!

What do you think?

Also have you ever complained about a show?

I have complained to the BBC regarding their "Question Time" show, and their rather one-side argument towards Brexit.

Now I voted to stay in the EU at the last referendum, but I like to hear balanced objective arguments. But on a couple of QT episodes, the questioning was rather geared towards staying within the EU rather than against.

Despite my 2 complaints I never got a reply!

I think I signed a petition to get 13 Reasons Why cancelled when it was still on air (obviously didn't work as they ended at season 4).

To me, it was just a really irresponsible portrayal of mental health - especially for teens who might think the whole 'revenge' aspect of it was normal. I know they had a bunch of warnings throughout because of the backlash and then put a helpline in at the end, but some of it just made me angry (and I only watched the first two seasons).

Not a show per se, but I complained about a nasty comment that a late night news presenter made about someone who had been interviewed. He said it when the field report finished and the camera went back to him in the studio, in a joking sort of way as if he'd been caught off-guard. I can't remember exactly what he said but I do remember being quite shocked. The next night he made an apology before signing off for the night, and he did seem sincere. Apparently there had been quite a few complaints which didn't make me feel bad for reporting him.

Never directly complained but my elderly dad loves the chase but always complains the background music is to loud and drowns out the questions 🤣

I signed the same petition about 13 Reasons Why.

I was absolutely horrified when I heard my 13 year old sister in law had watched it! When I explained to my Mother in Law exactly what happened in the show she too was horrified that she'd allowed her to watch it.
