Such a shame Farie couldn't finish her garments! She's has a lot more creative flare than Rebecca, but they couldn't really put her through

Agreed, I was sad to see her go because I like what she sews but I get it couldn't be ignored.
I feel Rebecca did a Disco Damien in the M2M and picked the wrong era - Rebecca's felt like wartime 40s not New Look 40s with that bodice and the floral. Farie also got a little bit wavy with the era - I know they sad it wasn't meant to be facsimile but I think Raph nailed the wavy with the updated fabrics.
I'm a broken record but YES RAPH. I even loved the pocket lining he chose for the Oxford bags. I want him to pick my clothes. Maybe we could share a wardrobe and he could top it up and make me fantastic sets?
 
Finally up to date with the series before tomorrow so I could read through the thread without worrying about spoilers!

The last episode really irritated me, it seems that Esme cares more and more about her personal preferences rather than judging it objectively. Sure there's always going to be some bias, but there's been many comments about personal preferences like bows and fabric colour choices this series from both judges (there wasn't exactly much choice on parachute colours and are you meant to look up the judges Wikipedia page or something to know they don't like purple??)

I think I agree with all of you, it's completely between Raph and Serena. I think Raph could do it just because the judges seem to have so much emphasis on the final showstopper and Serena seems to do worse in that in the past.
 
When I saw the drawing of Rafe's dress, I thought he had it in the bag, but even if he'd finished it, something about it on the model just didn't look right. Serena's was stunning, and she was a deserving winner. And I really hated the fabric Rebecca used 😬. The bit of the flouncing where you could see the plain fabric underneath just looked weird

Cried when they revealed their family on zoom, and then cried again at the montage 😆😭
 
Don’t mind admitting I had a little cry at the end of that. I will really miss Sewing Bee. Amazingly my husband actually turned off the football because he wanted to watch it. It’s just a lovely cosy little show.
Well done Serena on winning. I was hoping Rap would be victorious but she was a worthy winner. Loved seeing the previous contestants too.
