My mum just told me Richard Hammond is going to present ... surely that's not right. She meant Alison Hammond? Either way, I won't be watching. Richard The Hamster Hammond!? No.

No thanks, we don't need any more Ant n' Dec types ruining the show.Get Stephen Mangan to host it, he does a great job on the painting show on Sky Arts ... just nice and gentle wit. I don't need all the 'comedy' bullshit frankly. Joan Bakewell would be good too insofar as her name is a sort of cake!
I must admit, I think Hamster would be marginally better

I've alway though that Harry Hill would be a good addition to the show, afterall he did present Junior Bake Off. Having said that though, his humour is a little infantile, perhaps not suitable for the adult version of the show.

I’m a bit underwhelmed by the celeb run so far. I loved the David Schwimmer episode but the next two, not so much.

I think it’s partly an act! I think she amplifies the Yorkshire person stereotype. The terrible baking wasn’t part of it though I don’t think!
Apparently the new series will be less complicated because people have complained about how complicated it is! Hopefully it will be more like the BBC series or somewhere in between!

Me too! What a shame.
I’m not overly keen on Alison as a presenter.
I think it might have been a good time to lose the two presenter format actually, since it now comprises unfunny and corny routines between the challenges.
I’m still in thought. Looking forward to “meeting” the bakers

I'm not a fan of Alison so it remains to be seen how much I enjoy this new season. Hopefully there will be a good bunch of bakers though.

Yeah never really understood the need for two presenters or maybe have 1 regular presenter and I different guest 1 every week mix it up a bit I don't mind Alison but I'm not sure she is right for this gigMe too! What a shame.
