think I’m in the minority here but I’m happy with Alison doing bake off. I don’t watch a great deal of “normal” tv so to me she’s not on “everything”
I think she’s fun and will probably be a good laugh and support for the contestants too. Her appearance on Celeb bake off when she thinks she’s lost her oven door is peak tv gold for me

I don't see this working either. She seems nice enough but she is very much all about Alison, which was one of the things that annoyed me about Noel, he seemed to talk to the contestants just as a vessel for showing how quirky he is, with no connection with them. Alison will either be warm and sweet in presenter mode, which to me is a bit to interviewer-y and not like the comedians they usually choose. Or she will go full quirky Alison and start "accidentally" falling over and causing shenanigans. I don't like the sound of either tbh.

I think she'll be great. She's got the soft side that Matt didn't have and I think she'll be able to comfort and support the bakers a lot better.

I'm looking forward to seeing Allison, she's much more my cup of tea!

As long as Allison is the same as she is on This Morning she will be great! Any of the slapstick will take away from the baking! She will probably be quite supportive too like Mel and Sue were.
Matt Lucas trying to be funny and showing no interest in the baking has ruined the last few series for me. I have missed Sandi!

Who on tv is a trained presenter? Apart from news/current affairs which you obviously need qualifications for - I always thought light entertainment presenting was very much a learn on the job type of profession.

Define trained? The majority of people on TV aren't trained, they learn through the job. Mel and Sue were comedians and actors rather than presenters. Noel and Paul are thte same.

He doesn't seem to be in anything else so maybe he has to stick with it to get money, I don't find him funny he is meant to be quirky but I have known far funnier and quirkier people who arent on TV.
