Just caught the very first series of Bake Off repeated on Food Network. It was like a breath of fresh air, no cast of personalities, just good old fashioned home baking. Lovely.

It's crazy to see how different it was back then compared to how it is now! Absolutely loving seeing the old series repeated.

Loved the baking! Proper baking, cakes and pastry.

Missed the first episode and can't be bothered to catch up. Managed to record in time for the morning repeat of the second episode. I love JBO and Harry is hilarious. I think Noel could carry the GBBO on his own without a second presenter and Harry proves it.

Harry is brilliant, he seems so at ease around the kids plus he's able to make it interesting for the adults watching. Personally I cannot abide Noel, was a big loss to GBBO when Mel and Sue left (and I'm not exactly a massive Sue fan either).

It's so petty of me because they are only children and have far superior baking skills than I do, but Oliver gets on my nerves.

I laughed out loud when Harry asked Ezekiel in all seriousness what his favourite type of bread was (he was making bread) ... I was expecting the kind of pretentious answer adult bakers would say, he replied: "Kingsmill white extra soft". THAT's why I like the junior version!!

Love the junior version but I personally can't stand Harry Hill. He gets right on my nerves and isn't funny at all
