It’s incredible scrolling through a twitter search of Matt Lucas blocked. Seems he and his team regularly search his name and block anyone who isn’t an arse licking fan(even mild criticism or someone not enjoying his work… not just vile hateful stuff) . He won’t be missed and it’s also telling how many people are rejoicing his departure.

I’m blocked by him 😂 I did a search of my own tweets and I’ve never said anything about him or his work, so god knows what it was that got me on the list 😂
 
I don’t think Matt was that bad to be honest; I think the show itself has been a bit flat, certainly the last series anyway.
It honestly wouldn’t surprise me if Noel left too - he definitely wasn’t as enthusiastic this time round.
If not though, I love the idea of Richard Ayeoade hosting with him, but I suspect it will be a female.

Interesting ... I love the professional show and I was really concerned when I heard she was hosting but in the end I thought she was actually quite refreshing. I found the staged schtick between Tom and Liam excruciating whereas Stacey seemed naturally enthusiastic about the bakes. I warmed to her during the series and I actually think her and Noel would make a great team and compliment each other.

I like her, I know a lot of people don't!

I was actually worried she’d be rubbish but I quite like her on the Professional bake off. I loathe Harry Hill’s comedy and on Junior Bake Off it’s just so grating. He’s good with the children when they need support but his comedy is a no no.
I actually liked Sandi and Noel together, I think as Noel is so out there you need someone who is a bit reserved. I’m not sure how Richard would work because I can’t see him being sympathetic to contestants who struggle which Noel is and Matt was at times.

Not to make this jbo thread but I found Harry seemed to almost make fun of the kids bakes when they did badly. And his stupid big collar can get in the bin 😂
