Great British Bake Off #3 2022

The whole series has felt rushed because they're trying to cram too much in with too many stupid challenges. Even the ending which normally makes me emotional haha where they catch up with the previous bakers felt rushed and forced like they knew nobody really cared. It also seemed like the bakers hadn't really formed any friendships with each other.

Also, is it me or does it seem like there's less time spent getting to know the bakers? I know they do a bit in the final where they film the family but didn't there used to be more of that at the beginning as well? Could be another reason why noone really feels attached to any of the bakers.

It was just all a bit tit really wasn't it? I feel sorry for this year's batch of bakers and I hope the producers listen to the audience next year
Completely agree with all you’ve said.
I love the bit when the credits roll and they tell you what all the bakers are doing now. They even rushed through that part and didn’t cover everyone properly.
Definitely a disappointing run this time.

It needs to go back to the days of Victoria sponges, scones and biscuits.
No structures or arty farty scenes from their childhood.
And get rid of Paul Hollywood and replace him with someone who isn’t an arrogant patronising arse.
Yes to both! At the very least staple Hollywood's hands into his too tight jeans so that everyone can stop talking about his bloody handshakes!

The final could go a little into the finalists background then the focus is on the Showstopper (no signature or technical) so we see more of the baking process. Also give them a bit more time to make fab stuff!

Then the party at the end to see the other contestants, have the award ceremony and little interviews!

That’s a better format for a final!

Oh yes I totally forgot about the final party they used to do with the other contestants and family members! Surely they could have brought that back this year?! I really don't think the producers could be arsed this series 😅

As everyone else has said that was the most unwheleming final, it was just boring and there was no mystery as who was going to win either. Poor editing, and even the “where are they now” was boring! I wait a whole year for gbbo and I don’t even think I’ll miss it. There was only 1 good episode in this entire season

Interesting… between Spain getting beat and this it’s turning out to be a decent day!!!

I do wonder who’ll they’ll get. I can’t think of any recent ex contestants who’d be any good and I doubt Liam would take on main bake off as well as pro&junior. I'd love Richard Ayoade which is unlikely but a girl can dream.
