Ahh I tried to edit my comment and deleted it instead . But what the duck man. Abdul’s looked the best of a bad bunch there but from the judges comments they overdid complimenting Syabira’s even though it looked ridiculous, and then were overly harsh to Abdul’s. Im glad she’ll likely win but I don’t think anyone can be proud of these showstoppers. In 4.5 hours too

Where did an entire tier of Sandro’s bake go? The cake pop planets? Might have missed them. It’s not making me want to focus on it 100% tbh.

Well that’s the end of the worst Bake Off ever I hope the producers consider everyone’s feedback before next year because no one I know enjoyed this season much.

Things to do for next year to put the show back to its better roots

1. Definitely freshen up the line-up by ditching Hollywood for a new co-judge
2. Maybe freshen up the presenter line-up, have we had too much of the Noel/Matt vibe now? (Noel in particular)
3. Go back to the basics with tasks - no more random bakes with little detail, more twists and fresh takes on known classics

Really wanted Sandro to win, unlike any winner before him if he had won. Loved Abdul, he seemed so happy just to be there !! Thought it would have been great if he had snatched it at the final.
wasn’t a great final though, so many mistakes and dodgy bakes!!

I think it was the worst final I’ve seen. I liked all three finalists, but in terms of the standard of baking; yes, very poor.
In fact I don’t ever remember the judges saying before that they were going to consider past bakes to decide the winner, as Paul said tonight.
