Great British Bake Off 2023

I know it's a baking competition but they've got rid of the most interesting characters too early imo! For me Abi and Rowan were the ones I was rooting for and now they're gone I feel like the spark the show had regained when it started has gone again. Saku is probably the only one who interests me atm.
Yes definitely abi was way too good to leave that early, idk how Nikki made it further!

Saku is the only one I’m rooting for. She’s really nice and I love her humour.
Cristy revealed herself to be a complete nightmare this week ( but Paul still loves her 🤣)

Dana was my favourite. I think since last week(?) when they commented on how the flavour was too strong she’s went down hill and was less confident in her flavours as before that didn’t she keep getting compliments on her flavours?

I felt sorry for her.
She toned the cardamom down because she’d taken the judge’s previous comment on board.
Then they slate the fact that they can’t taste the cardamom!

So many thoughts about this season, I really liked Rowan and Dana's personalities so sad to see them gone. Abi 100000% shouldn't have gone when she did and I think she would be a great contestant to watch, it's nice to see something a bit different.

I've been rooting for Josh since day one as he seemed steady and quietly good but doesn't seem to have got the edit he deserves.

I also don't understand the infantisising of Saku, she's a grown ass woman with a grown ass job but treated and talked about like a kid.

I would have put money on Dan, Josh and Tasha in the final on week one but I do think Christy is getting the 'pay attention to her' edit

Yeah I agree, saku's my fav cos she has such a warm personality, definitely don't like how Alison and Noel patronise her :(

Well I’ve only just watched last week’s Bake Off.
It’s taken me a whole week to even be bothered to watch it which says it all.

Christy sounded like a whinging toddler with her blubbing and whining voice.

They criticised Matty’s cake as not being a showstopper. At least he made his floral decorations.
Christy used a mould and then plonked real flowers on top and Paul said it looked good!
And then he complimented her for not giving up and throwing it in the bin!
Where’s the consistency with the judging?
Paul needs to go.

Lots of professional bakers use molds and there have been many used on Bake Off over the years!
The judging has been inconsistent, but they seem to be trying to keep Tasha in no matter what.
