The mother seems to collude. Imagine two men talking to and about a quite quiet woman like that.i hate how helena speaks to and about george.
can you not just say happy anniversary to your mum and her husband

And that horrible 'this one's lasted longer than the rest of them'. She doesn't have the demeanour to make it seem affectionate, if that was her intention.yep - i don’t know why she (the mother) never stands up for him! helena seems to enjoy making him feel small. it takes nothing to say “happy anniversary, that’s a nice t-shirt”
Amira mimicking the sound effects on 'Puzzling' had me in stitches.
DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN DUN. Those two are underappreciated.
Yes. She also looks past George a lot of the time and speaks to her mother as though he is not even there. When she speaks to him, it's what she thinks is a wisecrack but often sounds downright mean and nasty instead. He seems a really gentle, quiet person. And that horrible 'this one's lasted longer than the rest of them'. She doesn't have the demeanour to make it seem affectionate, if that was her intention.
I love those two. I didn't used to and I'm not sure why. They are genuinely funny and sweet.Amira mimicking the sound effects on 'Puzzling' had me in stitches.
