Glow Up - BBC Three

I mean she is autistic so maybe she was just overwhelmed and not masking at that moment. I thought it seemed like everyone got on really well and they seemed a tight group. Well everyone apart from Maya with her awkward way of joining in on the group hugs 😂👍🏻
I just think she’s a bit socially awkward maybe? I noticed that when someone else did well and everyone else clapped and praised them, she just looked a bit ‘meh’ and didn’t really seem that happy for them.

She was very open about being on the autistic spectrum and all the challenges this brings. Not knowing how to respond in social situations is a classic problem for people with ASD. I loved the way she used the quirks of her personality as strengths eg her obsessional levels of planning.

I really thought there was no comparison between his final piece Sophies. it was like the muscle one he did previously, started off interesting and that one just became a brown mess. I’m not surprised Dolly got so many people wanting to work with her, the glam look works everywhere but I think Sophie getting to work with one of her idols was enough for her. I wish they’d do a catch up over the end credits for them all like Bake Off but they didn’t before lockdown limited their options so 🤷‍♀️

I'm still on the final of season 1.
Nikki should have been eliminated. I would've liked to see Tiffany in the final instead.

Also, who dresses Stacey? Why are all her outfits ill fitting and unflattering?!

I liked how stripped back Stacey was. Especially when Maya comes on styled up to the nines, prancing around as if it’s her show! Why did she spend the whole season spinning around? 🤣

I felt maya just could not find her groove. She seemed very lost and tried to be wacky when the contestants were wanting to be deep and share. Just don’t think she fit the show.

It’s based on what is in their contracts at the time. Some have clauses that they can do adverts, pre-existing work, different channels. Like how Gary Lineker is/was allowed to do Walkers

I could be wrong but I think the problem was the ad where she was dancing. Because the bbc doesn’t have ads you’re not supposed to do an ad which could be seen as linked to a bbc programme? Been a long time since I looked at this stuff so I could be totally wrong.
Or maybe she’s not taken off the way the beeb expected and it was an excuse to get rid.

Yeah this is right! I assumed it was because she was in a beauty related ad whilst presenting a beauty related show. Nick Knowles was removed from presenting Children in Need this year because he featured as a builder in the Shreddies ad and is a presenter of a building show. Gary Linekar is fine thought because crisps are not football related 🤷🏻‍♀️
