Ginny and Georgia

I love Georgia’s story and all her drama, I wish it was more about her. The younger actress is good too and I’d like to see more of what she went through. I like the dynamics of Xion, Paul and their families all being there at Christmas etc.
Ginny and all her teen angst can get in the bin 🙄 Max is so super annoying/selfish, but has potential to be a really lovely character if they’d just let her grow up a bit!
I know teenagers go through a lot but it’s like a check list of problems (sexuality, depression, harm, anxiety, eating disorders, drinking, drugs, relationships, school etc etc etc) that all have to shoe horned in.

Yes! Definitely need more georgia and less ginny

100% and the complete wokeness of the teen storylines drive me nuts

The hate for ginny is insane considering she's like 14/15 knowing what her mum did.

It’s not that serious 😂 Just a friendly reminder to you this is a TV show. We can dislike characters as much as we like 😉
 
I have to say season 2 was slow going at the start I almost gave up on it cause felt the first episode wasn’t that great. Have got onto episode 8 and am intrigued to see how it ends.
Do feel like there’s way too much going on with the other characters and as other people have said it needed focus on the Georgia thing a bit more but all in all it’s a good watch.
 
I don’t even mind teens being angsty and what not, that’s kind of expected to be included. But the writing failed to establish any sort of connection for me and I basically don’t really care what happens to any of these teens.
It’s the second season and I still can’t find other words to describe these characters beside teens and damaged. There are some hints of depth but it remains surface-level. It feels like a background plot sometimes.
Like, Marcus was just a pot-smoking damaged boy in the first season, now they gave him these random political and environmental remarks and you can’t tell whether it’s sarcasm or not because none ofcthat was present in the first season.
Ginny just seems to be constantly angry, which is understandable, but that doesn’t allow for other things to surface about her personality, other than angry poem writing.
I might even symphatize the most with Max (even though her behaviour was crappy), mainly because the actress is expressive and offers some comedic relief.
And when did activities such as tap dancing and poem recitals become something cool kids do? Because that’s how it’s treated in this series. Not saying that they shouldn’t be, but it just plays into the whole “this is weird enough for me to not be believable”.
 
Going to echo everyone else, it was slow to get into. Took me days to watch the first 3 episodes but then it picked up. Ginny was unbearably annoying the first few episodes but then she settled (imo).
Edited to add, I don’t know why but hour long episodes felt wayyyy to much to start off with. I think the first few episodes could have been 30 min ones.

I feel like I need to watch the episode Georgia kills the husband again. Was Cynthia aware of what Georgia was going to do!?

well Cynthia told Georgia she blacklisted gil after she saw him threatening Georgia at the kids school, Cynthia was then talking about her husband saying she wishes it could all be over as he’d been palliative for a while and felt like they were just hanging on so I took it as Georgia going a bit into psycho mode thinking she was doing Cynthia a favour in an odd way, I don’t think Cynthia had a clue what Georgia was about to do
