Is there anything new about having regional reporters? I wouldn’t have thought so? The Beeb has them, and I would think Sky does too?
That's one of the silliest things about it, going on about that they've got someone in Wales, someone in n Ireland, someone in the SW and so on as if that's something unique.

They're still based from their central London studio, presumably because basing it elsewhere makes things difficult and unlike the BBC they can't drop a grand to cart guests off to the Salford studio and pay for people to relocate to a token studio.

They just did an infinite pattern 🤣

They're interviewing people around the country and the reporter is using her phone as a microphone for the guest and herself 🤣🤣🤣
To be fair that actually sounds ok. Although Gloria must know the guest can't hear her so why bother talking to her?

And Gloria messes up another cut to the ads, trys to fill in then is cut off mid sentence 😆

I put it on yesterday to see how bad it could be after reading so many opinions on twitter, and apparently it could be so much worse than I ever imagined possible.

I turned it on during a break, which on any other channel would be fine, but there was a moving border, scrolling news ticker, and some all singing, all dancing advert on the screen all at once and it was like an assault on my senses.

Then it got back to the news and the AV sync was so far out that I was probably listening to the stuff from before the break. And how can the visual quality be so bad? I could film a news broadcast on my phone with better results!

The whole thing is pretty spectacular for all the wrong reasons.

That moving border is terrible, they have one on top of scrolling news ticker, which makes probably 25% of screen at the bottom covered.

I still haven't caught it, but you lot are making it sound like a joke station. Is anyone covering the bloopers?

Switch on any time, there’s a blooper every few minutes 🙊 I haven’t even had it on much. The competent presenters all look like “omg what the hell have I done?!” and then you have people like Liam before who kept staring down the camera 🤣

It’s this level of awkward (and audio) at times

Its like one of those American school news channels where 12 year olds read the news for the school , someone makes a coloured in backdrop , none of them can read the autocue, and they always look at the wrong camera, and thats just GB news , the kids look professional in comparison.

As bad as the production value and camera angles im just glad there is a news channel other than the biased BBC , who really do only show us woke news and government propaganda, anything else gets hidden, i hate Dan Wootten , but at least he mentions the disgrace of this government

the weird think is that its branded "right wing" by all the far left extremists who get away with every vile comment they want, its as if everyone is saluting hitler and are racist , its bullshit , they are slating a right wing government ffs, all they are doing is giving news that is realistic , other than the too scared to say anything, the government are hero's, mainstream news channels opinions, you just have to sit through it looking like its filmed from Mars

I agree, there is some good and balance to this channel. It is just the awful production, terrible video and audio quality, whilst sticking all presenters behind awful breakfast bar.

I wanna watch 😂😂
its like watching a very early 80's cable channel :D i was watching 4 of them being filmed at a weird angle where they all had to crane their necks to look down the camera :D at one stage i thought one of them was going to lower themselves in the chair so you could see the person next to them , like acorn antiques :D

I like what they say about the government though

I like Michelle Dewberry personally, but been watching her last few nights and do not think she has looked into the right camera once, think the cameras have to just give up and follow wherever she looks at 😅

GB News, sponsored by Nokia.
oh no I mean filming on what could be a Nokia 3310 level camera 🥴

speaking of sponsorship.

I can't stop dipping in and out

Even Andrew Neil in the studio hasnt got decent audio, his mic is on his tie and it's already hit his shirt a few times and is rustling 😆

I would imagine Morgan wants to see the lie of the land before doing anything with this lot. It all sounds makeshift. I have yet to tune in, too hot for depressing news. Apart from the technical issues and bad set design, what is the content like?

I was saying this to someone yesterday. Piers isn’t stupid, he’s obviously going to edge his bets and see how it’s going to work out. I think the issue with Piers is he wants to be centre of attention. I can quickly see if he joins this becoming the Piers show, and I don’t think that’s the direction of travel GB News will go.

I think there is some strong talent there, but it’s being let down by some of the weaker presenters. It certainly needs time to bed in,

Piers is still under contract with ITV for now but I could see him on GB News sometime next year if the channel works out and he can be out of the ITV contract. Too early to have an idea of who he'd replace - not sure if the breakfast show here is quite his approach, I do think he'd want to be the centre of attention so could see him doing a solo show - maybe something along the lines of his old CNN show.

I bet Katie Hopkins has approached them for work. I don’t think they would employ her, Neil says it is not going to be a Fox News. What has happened to her? I know the Mail sacked her, and LBC. Twitter binned her. Last I saw she was doing a lot of pro-Trump work for the US audience, trying to worm her way in there. But that has dried up now. I bet she is champing at the big to get on GB news.
