Yes! thank you! They've called her show Doobs & Co. That makes sense. I'm not in the UK and haven't watched any of The Apprentice so hadn't come across her before.

I used to see her pop up on the "The Papers" and similar segments on Sky News where the real host has a couple of people around the table (or at home these days) to talk things through with.

Haven't watched yet just saw Andrew Neils defensive explanation. Was Wootton a sensible choice for the launch, maybe it was a calculated move to attract viewers which would be disappointing.

The animated interstitial graphics are like a Chris Morris satitirical rip off of Sky News ... over the top. The headline bar at the bottom of the screen is really hard to read due to the oversized lettering with no gap above and below.

The largely black set(s) are awful.

And why is the sound so bad? Half the time it's echoey as hell, and when I was watching earlier and they had three presenters, the one in the middle was way quieter than the other two. Why? Why can't they just push a slider up and fix it? Surely they should have run plenty of rehearsals in advance to find these issues?

FFS they've just cut to some woman in her house and because they're playing her audio into the studio as well as to us there's massive feedback going on.

Such a disappointment, I was hoping for big things from GBN.

edit: have all their individual microphones failed or something? It's gone back to super echo and Kirsty and the guest both sound like they're shouting to be picked up on some general studio mic.

It is quite a bit more amateurish than I thought it would be. They keep going on about the 'new technology' they are using. Could have done with a few more practice runs. Massive problems with the sound and studio feedback (have heard people whispering several times). Watched the whole of Dan Wootton last night, husband liked him but he has no prior knowledge of him. It was too rabid at times for me, felt a bit uncomfortable. I'm looking forward to Andrew Neil and Simon McCoy's shows. I hope Andrew can pull in some political heavyweights.

Nice to see they're doing their bit for the environment though by not having lights on 😬

I'm sure I've seen her be a terrible interviewee before so she's not totally new to live telly, can't see her getting much better

There will be plenty of media outlets bashing the channel with biased pieces. The journalist has a go at what Dan Wootton said but doesn't explain why he doesn't agree.
I’d love to see Andrew Neil interview twit Hancock and make him cry, real tears this time.Maybe the journalist didn’t say why he disagreed with DW because he didn’t disagree with him but wouldn’t be allowed to say so. GB News are already having problems with the BBC over footage sharing.

Not keen on the set , I think Sky news has a great set up .

Colin Brazier could host on his own .I do prefer it being less bias than the other channels.

Are they doing it on a shoestring? I doubt they don’t have the monetary set up to do a launch in the same way as Sky. It will be interesting to see the viewing figures over time. GMB has low viewers now for their morning show, so if they get more than that at the start, not too shabby. I haven’t viewed it yet, but will take a look at some point, but will avoid Wooton, can’t abide him.

I don't think it as low budget as people think. Fixing the audio then graphic and studio changes would make a world of difference and not cost much.

All these Skype calls seem to have someone on mute button duty to try and make tolerable 😆 . Isn't there live software to run the audio through and make it clearer?

Email [email protected] 😐, genius 🙄

All the 1 star reviews hours after it launched reminds me of all the negative articles tattle has that show no balance. People have decided on the review before anything has been broadcasted.

No matter what your persuasion you'd have to give it a while before making a judgement. It's like they're still testing

Why can't all these on location reporters get a £50 mic to plug into their phones to give clear audio 😆

I switched it on this morning as I cannot stand GMB anymore. There were 4 of them sat around a boardroom table which was situated in Patrick Batemans (American Psycho) living room. They cut to a woman in Scotland and the sound was terrible. It was echoing and then went really quiet. If I didn't know better I would think it was a parody. I've just put it back on for 5 minutes and it sounds like someone is filing their nails in the background. It is awful and the ticker is like something out the 1990's.

The reporter in Birmingham is interviewing someone while holding out a teeny tiny microphone, it's the size of her fingernail and I expect is really a lapel mic. Not only is it piss poor at picking up the man she's interviewing when she waves it in his face instead of it being attached to his clothes, but it looks incredibly amateurish and stupid.

FFS Andrew Neill, get your credit card out, get on Amazon, and buy some proper broadcast gear today, before the channel is written off as a total embarassment.

Some viewing stats

Sounds pretty much as expected, most tv viewers are over 50 and the young people barely watch telly

I want to make a complication for everytime they say sorry for the sound

How difficult would it be to stop the presentors from blending into the backgound
