They've ditched that terrible woman that was on with Colin brazier for someone competent and looks like they've switched breakfast up to have 2 presenters on rotation. At least they're switching up the things that aren't working.

Wow, have they got rid of her altogether or has she been given a less high profile role? It's a shame as her bio is really good. I hope she can gain more confidence in her presenting style.

Saw a bit of Andrew Doyle's 'Free Speech Nation' yesterday. He had a couple of really good interviews, with Peter Tatchell on human rights, and with Debbie Hayton, an interesting discussion of trans issues.
 
Good show from Dan tonight so far, enjoyed the guests plus the Malone/Butterworth/Oliver panel is fairly well balanced with interesting contributions, much better than that lot yesterday.
 
Hiya. I have literally just stumbled across this site while looking on the internet for reviews of GB news. I have read a few posts on here and I was pleased to see there are others out there that are sharing their views on the channel.
Personally I think it got off to a very shaky start but that is to be expected though. I do believe that with the changes they have made so far, and will probably make as time goes on, it will hopefully be one of the main news channels. Even alongside BBC and Sky. I'm going to stick with it in the meantime and see how it goes.

Sorry I was just guessing, she was missing yesterday but back on today.

Her CV might be good, but sadly live TV isn't her thing.

The set is looking better each day as the background gets brighter.

The segment on house prices yesterday was trash. They ignored the real provlem that house prices are a reflection of the money supply and credit availability. Nothing to do with supply and demand of houses. It's the kind of thing they should get their teeth into as this printing money is theft and screwing over so many people.

If the channel was called 'EU News', 'Guardian News', 'Labour News', or 'Woke News', those idiots doing the loudest shouting against GB News wouldn't be having an issue.

As you correctly state, it is people who cannot accept other points of view and want those opposing views silenced.

That isn't freedom of speech, or democratic. It is a dictatorship and censorship of opinions.

It doesn't help that they have a cramped studio in what appears to be the basement of the 'iron' shaped building near Paddington. I could tell it was the basement, as I could see people's feet walking past in some of the camera shots. 😆

There is a bridge over the canal just outside this building. A couple of weeks back, I tripped going up the stairs, whilst carrying my bike. 🤣

Hope the snowflakes don't read here they'll be off to GB studios to peacefully break their basement window with a toffee hammer 😂
 
Having watched the channel on & off when I can, I've not seen the breakfast show, but mid-morning Colin Brazier is very good & Mercy appears to have lost the early nerves/stagefright.
Gloria de Piero & Liam Halligan work well at times, other times they struggle for chemistry, stop gurning though Gloria! :oops:
Simon McCoy's always the pro, sidekick Alex Philips seems ok.
Only seen Dewbs & co once, & once was enough.
Andrew Neil still a very good interrogator.
Dan Wootton is a clown, best avoided tbh.
Still sound & tech issues at times, seen a lady wearing a face mask cleaning the studio door handles earlier on, and a guy carrying some plastic hosepipes 😁
 
Being left wing myself I had my concerns about what GB News would actually be like. But, as I said to my daughter we need to watch it to make an informed opinion, we can’t just say how awful it is without actually watching it. I also said it was important to listen to both sides of an argument and not just bulldoze in with your own like these left/right wing extremists do on Twitter.

First impressions - hilarious; simply for all the errors, lighting and auto-queue duck ups. Delving deeper, it’s not news per se it’s an opinion station. I might not agree with a lot that’s being said but I do agree with some of it and as long as it doesn’t tip over into dodgy territory (a la Lady C) then I don’t see the problem. Like others have said, people don’t have to watch. I haven’t watched it since Lawrence Fox was on the other day but I will still dip in but make sure to avoid Michelle Dewsbury because she’s awful 😂 Seriously though there’s nothing wrong with healthy debate and the sooner cancel culture is itself cancelled, the better.
 
Probably for the best, he maybe underestimated the effort of it all. At least he knows to dip out.

The station is very pro landlords, several times there's been poor landlord sob stories because their investment didn't pan out for a small minority. Cry me a river. They're missing a trick with all the <40 year olds who they could get on board with less one sided opinions.

Still think Mercy, Gloria and Dewsbery are tit.

Weatherman this morning had very strong cheekbones. :LOL:

Kirstys nipples are the most popular story on the express. People care about that more than Neil's break

The Hancock story might just be what this channel needed. I would like to know how cctv ended up on the front page of a tabloid and how the big boss says its no big deal. Hopefully they do it well. If not the Internet memes will have to suffice.
 
I'd never heard of Tom Harwood before but he's the best thing on the channel and does immediately call out the tit from some of the slightly dodgy guests.

He's like a Theo Usherwood with much more expressive eyebrows 😆

Trust uncle nige to be the kind of person to have a radiator cover and reed diffuser 😐, I bet he's a hincher
