Now talking on a mini golf course about having to cut the hawk to scare off seagulls that used to patrol to scare off the sea gulls as it worked out cheaper shelling out for that than replacing people's donuts when they're stolen 😆. But now thanks to covid no hawk and no free replacement for food that's stolen

I'd be fascinated to see their burn rate.

Having lots of sound pops today with the bad weather, other channels aren't affected.

They've adjusted the studio to have some more red lights to make it less dark in the background. Slightly better.

All this advertising business is good publicity. It will pique interest in it, to see what it is all about. Or they will watch it because they don’t like a small mob on Twitter deciding what we are allowed to watch. They might decide it’s not for them, others will stay. I think more people will boycott the advertisers pulling away. It is the height of arrogance/fascism to start a campaign months before the channel starts to get it cancelled. It is a different matter if they actually broadcast hate but the objections should start then at that point, not try to stamp out other points of view because it does not dovetail with theirs.

Sky News had lots of problems when they launched. Luckily for them not many people could watch in the early days as nobody had Sky yet!

I broadly agree but I don't want arguments against Epstein being a paedophile or not as a discussion. He WAS a paedophile and Lady Colin Campbell should have been closed down the moment she started with her ill educated opinion, the fact Neil couldn't do it say a great deal about his ability to present guests.

But then again they are relying on Twittwr to get their news station the publicity.

Yesterday I was raging (having been the victim of a paedophile) and I hoped the station would shut down rapidly.

Today I am just calling them aeseholes and I won't bother listening again.
 
Whatever about promoting a certain viewpoint or ethos, I think they should be calling out contributors who are peddling absolute falsehoods, especially on such an important topic

I'm pretty sure Andrew Neil would have shut her down if she was on his show. She was Dan Wootton's guest. But yes, she should definitely have been called out on that.

Major brands row back on GB News ad boycott

Big businesses today began rowing back on their boycott of GB News after its boss Andrew Neil called them out on air and accused their 'useful idiot' bosses of 'taking the knee' to 'far-Left cranks'.

What these brands don't seem to grasp is that their customers are usually of all political persuasions. When they start pandering to the minority cancel culture types, they usually annoy/offend far more people in return.

Just goes to show how clueless some of these companies are.

I'm not much of a Lady Colin Campbell fan to begin with.

Twitter is not the real world. Companies are basing their policies on what the Twitter mob says. But BREXIT, the General election when Twitter said Corbyn was a shoe in, all those things they convince themselves are going to happen which then don’t, when in reality people make their minds up away from the Twitter sphere. The cancellations need to stop based on social media mobs. If they don’t stop now, if people/companies/government do not push back now, we are going to be in an even greater mess soon. Time was we could make up our own minds about stuff.

Although I do now think it is long overdue that those whom use social media primarily to hurl endless abuse at others, should be kicked off all platforms. There is freedom of speech, however with that freedom should come some responsibility and decency - even if you don't agree with others.

Although all I can see is they don't like funding hate, but love throwing it about on social media.

Don't you just love hypocrisy?

Haven't seen uncle nige in a while, he looks and sounds a bit exhausted, his lbc show was entertaining for saying how amazing everything would be every single day 😆

Yeah same, never heard of her.

Did she just accept an offer to appear on it only to flounce for attention? It hardly means much as it's not like she's been a staple on there for years (no one has!).
