I know a lot of people don’t like ekin, but I wouldn’t call the other girl striking looking, like another commenter mentioned, she looks very hard in the face. Also, I’m not sure what’s going on with ekin, I’m not a fan but I do have some sympathy for her. I think she’s losing it and someone on Reddit mentioned that the reason she hangs onto Davide is because she lost a lot of friends because they sold stories of her during her time in love island. Her actions are contradictory to her girl boss image; I still think she’s deeply insecure which makes sense given how she’s very conscious of her figure and how she’s had a ton of fillers and surgery to the point where she looks different compared to her old face. It doesn’t help that two of the brand deals she’s worked with have dropped her and I’m not sure what’s happening with her acting career. She needs to break up with Davide, she looks like a complete mug and even though he’s the cheater, she has unfortunately received much of the backlash. I also heard that his friends never used to like her and used to slag her off before.
 
I actually agree I'm not a huge Ekin fan and I totally disagree with labelling the girls in question slags and defending Davide but she has always screamed huge self esteem issues to me.
Her behaviour in the villa the attention seeking, drama causing, advice giving all gave the girl boss, sassy vibes she wanted but she was always so weak when it came to Davide and how he spoke to her and about her.
If the allegations are true all Ekin has done is give Davide the green light to do the same again.
Seemingly she's liked Gemma's insta post for the first time in months. I think they're meant to have had a falling out around NYE so she may be trying to gather some friends of her own incase it all does go wrong again!

Ekin and Paige have all of a sudden this week liked their posts and commented on same for the first time in months upon months. Maybe the girls have reached out to Ekin and Ekin has forgiven Paige for her podcast comments.

Davide telling us to mind our business 😂😂😂 That man wants no questions asked about what he gets up to beyond what he puts out on social media!

Yeah I feel for her, I don't understand how Davide has cheated but yet everyone is ripping into Ekin/frothing at the mouth over how she handled it.

She needs to ditch him and get the hell away from social media etc. it's become a trend to dump on her for sport and I'm not here for it.

Yeah I don’t understand why so many people seem to be hate piling on her lately, many are also frothing at the mouth over the fact that her brand deals haven’t gone well for her and now this cheating scandal. The same people crying about how misogynistic ekin came across are also being misogynistic themselves and have been about her for some time. No one came this hard at Davide when he made that insensitive comment, he’s come so unscathed as well as the girl who he cheated on ekin with. Everyone keeps talking about how if anyone ever cheated on them they wouldn’t slag the other woman but I honestly think it’s bullshit, I’ve had a lot of friends say this only to end up slagging the other woman when they were cheated on.

I hope ekin heals, and I wish she broke up with Davide because he doesn’t seem it. I think people hate her because of her fans when they are the ones who should be held accountable due to their obsession with love island.

She definitely needs to dump him. He is so not it, and he ain’t ever staying loyal, there will always be another OF / Insta model he’s dm -ing or getting close to on a night out clubbing in Manny.

Davide gets away with a lot because of his Italian accent. I mean, can you imagine if someone with a Manny accent or Newcastle accent etc was shouting and saying the stuff he was saying in the villa, they’d be dragged and dragged on social media and would have been HATED.

On Ekin, there is a subsection of her fanbase which is simply deranged - I’m talking in particular about those who sent death threats to Max.

Ekin herself has said some pretty bad stuff on social media and also privatey (the Harriet DMs). Whilst she’s getting some hate for it, honestly I think she’s getting away relatively easily compared to other islanders from her season. I’ve no doubt if certain other islanders from her season said the things she said, they’d be dragged SO SO much harder & the hate train would be SO much worse….not that that’s a reason to drag/hate Ekin, I’m just pointing out that other islanders would be hated a lot more if they did/said what she did.

i agree with this, she still has a VERY strong fanbase, people are always called out for being misogynistic in love island, especially in her szn, the misogyny/slut shaming towards her was called out constantly. i think that’s why it looks so bad that she’s now doing it herself, it also contrasts heavily with the image she had on the show. part of me feels bad for her tho, i think davide is the main problem, he seems to be unscathed
