looking at the The Tab article from August only Dami, Luca, Jacques and Paige had less than 12% fake followers. Everyone else had more. Andrew and Danica had over 30% fake and apparently Ekin had over 80%!

Slightly disagree with this one because how come ekinde has 80 percent fake followers and Davide less than 20% because LI couple followers usually overlap each other. I think all these articles don't mention the metric by which they define fake followers so very hard to judge. Also buying followers involves spending money. Only luca and Gemma have that kind to spend each month. We know there are fake followers but we can't rely on these websites

To be fair, having fake followers is actually normal. Most people on IG have fake followers and most of time it's bots that followed you and not necessarily you buying followers. That's why brands moved away from focusing on influencers with just big followers but look at engagement as well.

Ekin bought like 30k followers before the show started. It's really not that expensive to buy followers.
 
Interesting article on Instagram rich list of LI stars. Wonder how accurate this is! Particularly Davide, whilst he’s a large following, his engagement is the lowest of the final 4 boys (and Jacques). It’s even lower than Andrew relative to Andrews follower count.

Also, I don’t particularly follow Millie or Chloe that closely but I noticed in their posts whilst in Dubai, Chloe (even though he following is less) consistently did better in terms of likes on her Insta posts and she seems to always be online - in particular on Snapchat. I’d have thought she has better engagement with her audience than Millie. But then again maybe I’m wrong as I didnt follow either of them that closely up until the last month.

These articles are just based off followers. I follow someone with just over 200k followers and It’s ridiculous how much they get paid. It pays well to do nothing.

I follow Chloe on Snapchat and she’s very active. When they were in Dubia she seemed to be in her hotel room a lot on Snapchat.

Those kinds of articles are always bs. The always list Tommy Fury as a high earner when he hasn't had any high paying work in years. People just assume he's rich because his girlfriend is and he has a high follower count.

Even Molly who is genuinely filthy rich is not quite as rich as these articles make out. They always go off press releases from her management that cite she charges 40 - 50k per ad. She was choosy with what she promoted when she came out the villa but she now advertises the kind of stuff any islander does. Most of the companies that regularly employ her couldn't possibly afford to pay the kind money the press say she is paid.

These lists also always have Amber Gill citing that she got paid a million by Misspap. That was debunked almost as soon it was first reported. They always hype up the figures for these deals to create the impression to the celeb and the collection as being in demand.

I can't see anyone from season 6 onward making the kind of money to make these lists

He was earlier today. He posted a video of his daughter and some comments mentioned about the unfollowing. He replied about the unfollowing saying “don’t be so silly 😂😂” and then he refollowed her. Just checked and the comments about Laura under his recent post have disappeared so he probably unfollowed again then.

I don't actually believe this. It would've made more sense to take a look at just the deals they may have.

I say this because people like Amber barely do ads so why is she on this list? It seems like the author took a look at their followers and only went from there. Brands look into alot more these days than just followers.
