Why the air fryers though ? Of all the gifts she could have given? I felt like there was an “in joke” that I didn’t get !

Buying an air fryer as a gift for most people would be quite a risk as most people already own one - my take on it was that Ruby was being a bit snobbish in thinking that the Dingles were so poor or so backwards they wouldn't have one yet. To her, it was looking like she was giving them something really high tech that they couldn't afford themselves.
Sam was the only one that really took the bait!
