How come Mary never expressed any anger towards Gus from the beginning of this bullshit baby storyline? He saw she was unconscious on the floor, could have been badly injured after all that conwoman Faye stuff, and he just pretty much stepped over her and nicked her passport. Next thing you know Gus is struggling with newborn Ivy and Mary's round there with a weekly shop and donning her marigolds to clean his house. WTF.

Quite why they've been so charitable to Gus all along is beyond me. I HATE it when Emmerdale get legal matters wrong (see: Cathy facing no charges). Ethan advised Rhona ages ago that it would be arduous and potentially fruitless to pursue Gus legally. I'd have had the miserable fucker for the theft of the passport at the very least and would also have reported him for identity fraud.

I don't know much about family law but the fact he dumped Ivy on Rhona and Marlon and ran away would surely prove he was an unfit and incapable father. Wouldn't social services have decided that, at least in the interim, the baby should have stayed with Rhona as biological mother and as someone who the baby had already bonded with? Surely Rhona would then be in a good position to adopt Ivy?

Also...why all the hysteria about creepy Tom seeing Belle's wedding dress? All he saw was a little bit of white satin and a diamante waistband.

Agree with everything you’ve said 👏👏👏
Also hate the fact Belle and Toms relationship is going to go down the coercive controlling route hasn’t Belle suffered enough with her schizophrenia, accidentally killing her friend, her mum dying and all the other tit she’s gone through but no now she is marrying an idiot all for views and that stupid “ if you’ve experienced tonight’s stuff ring blah blah blah” then the obligatory chat on This Morning about the subject 🙄
I really think Emmerdale is actually hell but people living there don’t realise and they are eternally punished with crap relationships forever

I've been thinking the same about Gus as said above

On that topic think I've asked this before so sorry if someone already answered but I don't think I did find out. what happend with the woman who scammed Mary? I remember her being nervous about going to court but don't remember them saying if she got found guilty and what her sentence was?
