The irony of Charity saying that she had failed Noah because she wasn't there for him, but where is Moses? It will be a similar story with him before long! I cannot get my head around how the adults just go around with no explanation as to where their offspring are half the time. I know it was forever the case in soaps though and this has got worse due to covid...

Can she steal a plane and do a clean sweep of the village like in 90's? Emmerdale is full of dead wood characters going around in circles. I'd love some fresh faces and new stories!

I'm struggling to watch it, I think I watch out of habit now not enjoyment. It definitely needs new blood. I keep thinking Nate had Wylies Farm but now seems to work for Moira, bring in a new family to run that. Have a strong couple with 3 or 4 kids who can ruffle a few feathers but also bring some happiness not constant death, depression, sexuality issues and family arguments.

Could not agree more. I would have loved a new, completely unconnected to any current characters, family running the pub. Chas is one of the first I'd push under the plane!

(All the soaps are guilty of this too, but, ED def seems the worse for it.)

I agree but I think bringing in large families all at once are quite difficult as the viewer has to warm up to lots of different characters at the same time without knowing their backstory. I think it would have been good to have a decent newcomer and get the audience used to them and then bring in their family. Like a new person running the pub and their family follows in a few weeks because they needed to finish out the school year at their old place for example.

Like they did with Bernice.
She was followed by Diane, Rodney, Nicola, Val and Paul.
