Yes!!! I really like her in the classic eps, especially her friendship with Tricia. They've turned her into a shadow of that character.

Stalker busybody and somebody who is also a bit slow on the uptake. She is a trained councillor so why are they taking her down this road, same as they do with lots of the nicer characters.

Last year around Christmas week on Emm Dawn and Harriet were burying the body of the bent copper.
And I think it was "in the bleak midwinter" playing in the background then.
The writers must like that one because it was being sung in tonight's episode as well.

I asked a few posts back about what happened regarding the lorry crash because I hadn't seen him for so long that I had forgotten what happened regarding this.
Did he get a suspended sentence ? Community service? A fine? Was he found not guilty?

We only really see Nicola in the cafe these days too.

So its all a mystery to me.

Nicola had an overnight recovery from her TIA too, I thought they were doing well showing the long term effects, yet, the writer's clearly got bored of a bit of realism.

Nicola in the classic eps is like a different person (again another personality transplant in the Dales!).
