The problem is that I'm really struggling to feel sorry for Mick. All he's done recently is abuse members of his family and mope about looking like he's got constipation. 😁
What's left of the Carter family is just tragic really now. And with Tina leaving it's just going to be Mick, Linda and Shirley. Mick and Linda would be no loss and could do with being written out of the show.

But you can say that about most of the cast. Need an actual disaster week where about three quarters of the cast actually get killed off. Unlike that last disaster week when a random bus appeared for the first time ever and somebody ended up with a cut on their finger.

I don’t condone violence but I wish Phil whacked her right around the napper!
Come on Phil sort her out 😁 we love a scap at Xmas 😄 then do us all a favour and sort Mick out too! He's doing my head in.😖

How did the copper escape from the freezer?🥶 It would have been locked surely. Is he Walfords answer to Houdini? Why didn't they notice that there was nothing in the coffin? 😁 And why haven't the police arrested Stuart? That didn't make any sense at all to me 🤪🤪

It's all so trippy🥺 and unreal at the moment 😁
Am enjoying it more though 😆 it's certainly entertaining.

I hate what this show has done to Mick & Linda. I used to have a thing for Danny Dyer way back and I loved that he played the happy family man in EE rather than his typical bad boy. But now all this stuff with Katy (who is pure poison) has him really messed up and that dirty dog Max Branning has Linda right where he wants her (after sniffing round her for months). Just Ugh!

Christmas episode should be good. I still think Ian's miraculous recovery was pretty stupid all the same.

There is no social distancing or mask wearing going on now. They’ve given up. With Tier 4 now covering London, we have to suspend disbelief. Kay-ee pops up rather too often.

My other half doesn’t normally pay attention to EE but he was watching on Friday and said the scene with Karen, Honey and Kim on the sofa you could tell they weren’t actually sat next to each other and it was clever filming.

I’m sure I read somewhere that they’re using plastic screens when they’re close to each other? I could be wrong though
They are and a lot of green screen too. You can sometimes see the difference when 2 people are on the screen.

One of the soaps done a programme which showed how it was working behind the scenes. Can’t remember which now. I know Holby & River City are using a tennis ball for people to look at in the place of the others head so their eye level is correct. All very clever 😂

I get they want to highlight a terrible situation many go through but we've had enough doom and gloom this year. Will we see Frankie return or is she gone now?

This part of the storyline has really bugged me!

We've already had a domestic abuse storyline earlier this year, with a tragic ending, which is sadly the reality for most victims/survivors. I understand Eastenders works sensitively with partner charities e.g Samaritans and Women's Aid, but they're already focusing on the coercive/psychological impact of abuse. Katy is a brilliant example, of how abusers can twist the reality of their victims, distorting memories to avoid detection, and ultimately prosecution. This storyline is already covering females being perpetrators of abuse, childhood sexual exploitation and the complex dynamics of childhood abuse.

I don't understand why they've decided to add in the suicide element. It's a brutal reality, but Eastenders is already doing an excellent job, at highlighting the complex emotions that accompany abuse. They already covered two recent male MH storylines, Bobby with his OCD and Mick supporting his son to combat depression!

So who did attack Ian?
Was it Max with the Lucy Beale Award? Or was he attacked by Kheerat and Peter?

This must be the only time that Phil isn't in the frame 😁

Tina smacked him and Ian thumped her back. I'm surprised that she hasn't tried to do him for assault. Why does Ian get a pass for hitting a woman?
Ian will claim it was in self defence because he was left for dead  Ian will get his memory back and it will probably be someone like Sharon who attacked him. I think Ben or Phil would've finished him off. I have a feeling Sharon knows the truth about Dennis. It's geting good 🙌

I think it's Sharon. She's the only one that hasn't had any conversations about where she was at the time and she tries to change the subject whenever Ian goes on about it.
Yeah I think it must be Sharon, she must have found out about him locking Denny on the boat. Although She’s the one who found him and called an ambulance, can’t remember is she looked shocked or not. To be honest I don’t know why I still watch it, it’s so bloody depressing, it’s enough to make you feel depressed yourself! I probably just watch out of habit these days
