kim is one of the few highlights of this show!

my personal favourite part was when the police apparently decided it was a great idea to put two women who had just almost had a fight into an enclosed space (a police van) together. and then just…….. let them out again two minutes later? what even was that?!
You beat me to it I was just about to say that no police force in the world would do that. It reminded me of Supernanny like they were trying to do a time out technique 😂

What in the GCSE Drama was that??? 🤨
I'm guessing the radio silence here is because people are still trying to unclench themselves from the embarrassment...
GCSE drama sums that up 😀
What an appalling script. Did they get some school kids to write that garbage scene at the Albert in their lunch hour? Still good to see that Walford nick has some new recruits and chief cop Jack doesn't just have to rely on drippy Callum.😜

I'm also aghast that Phil has apparently lost his mind handing his businesses over to his ex wife Shazza 🥴 The one he kicked out the door a couple of years ago! WTF

🤣🤣🤣

god i hate those scenes they insist on doing where the whole square stands up for someone and you have random characters popping up like “yeah me too!” and such. urgh. this whole attack aftermath has basically been people reading gay rights quotes from a pamphlet. the second hand embarrassment was HIGH.
Literally no one talks like that! And isn't Jack a detective? Why is he going round breaking up street parties!? 🤦‍♀️

Last night was the worst script writing, most terrible acting I’ve seen some of these people seem to have literally come out of GCSE Drama. Like someone above said, the whole eve and suki saga, as if that would happen! And then Jack just quietly walking away with police, give me a break🤦🏼‍♀️🤣 what an awful episode, eastenders has gone to the dogs! I don’t even watch anymore, it’s just in the background whilst I’m on my phone nowadays.

the 2008/2009 ones were something else, I was only around 12/13 when they were on so never really understood much of what they were trying to do with it, but watching back now with the tony storyline, the whole ronnie, roxy and jack stories they were all bloody elite. As Ian Beale said after the boring death of his daughter ‘I got nothing, I just want her back Phil’🤣

I thought that too! How random!
Then remembered when my husband and his ex has a dispute about their little one and we called the police, they came and they did lock them in a police car (but definitely locked in) to talk like this! We thought it was so odd and funny then too.

The award for being the best police office….

I actually liked the conversation between Eve & Suki in the police van. Suki lightened up a little bit

I’ve also seen people who have been fighting being put in the back of the same stationary police van before to cool off. This was usually around the Christmas party season where you have a police presence situated in local busy hotspots where there are lots of pubs and clubs. Obviously if the fighting was more serious they would take them away separately to the police station but where it was like Eve & Suki where it was more verbal with a bit of pushing and shoving then a formal arrest isn’t required

I didn’t mind the scene with Eve and Suki either, it’s pretty common for the police to put people in the back of a van before letting them go on their way, it’s more of a preventative measure, I guess the idea is that it gives people chance to calm down before a disagreement escalates into a full blown fight.

I dunno about putting the two people who are arguing in the same van though! Seems like that could easily go pear shaped.
