It’s obvious the writers didn’t have a clue where they were headed with all these murders. It was just convenient to kill them off as the actors were leaving, although why they needed to kill Kush off I don’t know, he was a decent character. They should have known what was going to happen to Tina’s body as soon as they had decided she was going to get murdered. This Grey storyline could have been amazing if they’d put some thought into it. It’s really frustrating because they really nailed some of the domestic abuse and coercive control scenes with him and Chantelle and now with Chelsea, but everything else in between has been really poorly thrown together, like it was written by students with no experience or something (although maybe students would do better).

people on twitter are pointing out that gray was shown, just after tina’s death, to be in woodland with her phone and we were clearly meant to think that he’d dumped her body there. the writers have obviously forgotten this!!

That's what I remembered. But i thought maybe I was getting mixed up with another soap murder. The woods is usually the go to body hiding place in Hollyoaks

Personally if I lived in Albert square and had to dispose of a body, it would be going straight in the Thames. Or maybe minced up into pies to sell in the cafe 🙀
 
So now Gray knows that they're going to dig up the floor at the Argee Bhargee what's he going to do?

Will he sit tight and see if the police figure it out or will he try to run away?
My guess is that he'll try to run (like everyone else does in EE).

Whitney going to the police about Chantelle was a bit ridiculous. She has no proof other than Chantelle wrote that her husband was abusive on a forum. She didn't witness any violence and Chantelle's death has already been put down to an accident.

The only way Gray will be going to prison is for killing Tina if they find forensic evidence.
 
Grey has been using Tina’s phone and I think her bank card too? He got Shirley to send a bunch of money to Tina’s account unless i’m misremembering. Maybe the police will track her phone to see where it was last used, it’ll ping in the Walford area, not sure if they’d be able to pinpoint the exact location i.e Grey’s house or wherever but it is EE so anything is possible. They’ll be able to figure out how long she’s been dead for then they will see that the phone and bank account has been active since her death and will want to know who has been accessing them. This could be where they get him? Shirley will figure out that the messages from Tina weren’t from her at all, from that she might work out that Grey’s ‘sightings’ were all lies and that he’s been stringing her along the whole time.

Anyone think Chelsea is playing the long game and is trying to keep Grey on side until Jordan is well enough to come home? Self preservation maybe? I thought she had been taken in by his manipulation but maybe it’s not that at all. It’s not like she’s going to want to leave her baby with someone she suspects is a murderer and is clearly abusive. She really is stuck for the time being so is building his trust but it’s exhausting her and she is scared. Kheerat and Whitney just add to the pressure so she lashes out at them, she can’t tell them her plan in case Grey somehow finds out? From the outside it looks like she’s stressed because her baby was born prematurely which is of course stressful, but she’s got a lot more on her plate.

Even though it’s been pretty badly written the Grey storyline is by far the most interesting thing going on in EE at the moment.

Maybe Chelsea will be implicated due to her using the funds. Gray will prob disappear for a bit due to irl paternity leave.

It's dragged out too long, and made a mockery of it's original DV storyline.

If they decide to investigate, Kheerat should have text messages that prove she was trying to leave him not long before dying. The hospital will have records of her injuries & could lead to the nurse that recognised Gray being questioned.
Unfortunately there’s also a lot of evidence that makes it look like Whitney is a woman scorned & the case could be closed before it even starts if Gray says she’s just jealous & trying to split them up.

I definitely think that Chelsea is playing the long game. Look at the appalling way he spoke to her yesterday. Chelsea is much tougher character than Chantelle was. The stress she's under is due to having to pretend.

I also agree that ridiculous though some of it is the Gray storyline is the most interesting thing going on in EE at the moment. The market inspector stuff is all rather tedious 😴
 
I agree with most people here Grey’s storyline is the only interesting thing going on atm, I think Chelsea is playing the long game. When she was holding Jordan she said to him I won’t let anyone hurt you, that for me made me think she knows what Grey is and knows what he did.

The words must have hurt Chelsea more with what he said to her such a cruel thing to say.

Jean also seems to enjoy having a go at Phil instead of being grateful that he's gone soft in his old age and is letting her stay at his house.

None of the Slaters seem very grateful to Phil who is putting up with them despite the fact that he's apparently broken up with Kat. After all if he's going to prison I'm surprised that Ben and Callum haven't moved back in to claim the house.

Why would Ben stay in Stuart & Rainie's spare room when they could go back to Phil's place when he's inside.
