I just read something that said Gray’s storyline has been going on longer than the time he gave Mel advice about Hunter 😦 Mel and Hunter seem like a life time ago which just shows how dragged out it has been
Well he killed Chantelle back in September 2020 and it was accepted within days to be an ‘accident’, even though in reality you’d have a long drawn-out inquest and coroner’s verdict!

I dunno in a way I'm kind of glad the Gray storyline wasn't just done and dusted as soon as Chantelle died. It makes it more realistic and otherwise it would have meant that Gray and Chantelle were brought in just for that one storyline and then forgotten about.

BUT like almost everyone I don't like the way they botched the dv storyline it feels disrespectful to victims irl and to the characters in the show like Chantelle and her family. They shouldn't have bothered with the serial killer stuff and just gone on straight to the Chelsea storyline which I am enjoying.

The killing of Tina and Kush (especially Kush) has nothing to do with his abusing Chantelle or his attitude to women. The writers are clearly struggling to marry the two together as well. We've been focusing on his relationship with Chelsea which has been interesting and felt real but then the deaths of Tina and Kush have been forgotten about. And when it does all come out the impact of the reveal of one is going to lessen the impact of the other.

I don’t have a problem with the length, but when they turned him into another Walford serial killer, I just thought it was ruined. I mean how you can kill someone on the underground in London and not be captured at all is a flippin miracle that literally would never ever happen!

Apparently all the CCTV wasn’t working, that’s the cameras at the station and the camera that would have been on the tube train front windscreen itself.

How convenient

I wish they'd have made Gray just a nasty man who is controlling but not a murderer. I think it would have made it interesting to have him like that long term. Everyone knows one nasty person in their community who is un-savoury. I liked the scene where he called Linda a dozy alcoholic. Making Gray a murderer now means his number is up, because there are multiple murders now and he just wouldn't get away with that many in the real world, not in inner-city London.

Kathy's speech in the Vic made me cringe. It always does when they do it in soaps. In an inner-city pub, there are plenty of people coming and going, it's not realistic that everyone would know everyone, so why make a speech in there as though it's a community announcement? It's lazy writing to fastrack to everyone knowing what happened with Rocky.

I was hoping for a fling with Sandy and Peter on Christmas day. That would have livened things up. I felt a spark between them. Did anyone else?

It sounds as if Gray isn't going to be leaving until the Spring so I guess we'll see him manipulating and controlling Chelsea until then. Then she'll either fight back or the police will find out that he killed Tina.

Aaron and his dodgy chums should be due to bomb the mosque soon. I have a feeling that Dana will be injured or killed in the blast.

Yeah exactly! I keep forgetting it was a domestic abuse storyline

God, that was painfully boring to watch. 🙄
Linda has worked in the Vic and her mum’s pub since recovering from her alcoholism, surrounded by booze 24/7- I highly doubt Janine would be the one easily tempt her into drinking…
We’ve been round the block so many times with this Annie storyline 🙄 Linda accepted Frankie no problem, why is this so dragged out? The Carter’s are so jarring
The actress of Eve is trying sooo hard when saying her lines, it’s awkward to watch

I don’t want Gray’s smug face on my TV for the next few months either ffs.
