The last time I was honestly shocked by EE was when Lee Carter's mates raided the pub.

There's too many people today ready to complain if the soaps didn't give out massive spoilers/warnings about future storylines, it's ruining the concept.
Yeah I don't get why everyone wants so many spoilers! And I hate when the channel puts a trailer for the week's episodes that shows exactly what's going to happen. No wonder it's all so predictable! Though of course the shoddy writing has to take some of the blame.

I got one of those for a video yesterday, supposedly showing ‘gratuitous nudity and sexual scenes. Boy was I disappointed when all I got was a hip bone! 🙄

I get they want to protect people if a particularly 'hard' storyline is coming, like miscarriage, murder etc, but it's ruining the shows by having so many spoilers come out. We also know weeks, if not months, in advance of departing characters.

The journalism too, if the headline has a question mark, then it ain't happening!

But everyone is ‘triggered’ by everything these days. If it was that traumatising you just wouldn’t watch it right? I particularly like when they put a warning in for one thing and then forgot to tell you about another in the same episode (suicide/sexual abuse). Also they don’t warn people with serious phobias on anything!

Exactly my thoughts on it!

How many times do you get the 'upsetting scenes' bit before an episode, but, for the life of you, can't work out what it could have possibly been after watching?!

(I love the classic episodes of all three soaps, no sugar coating there!)

Are they though? Or are the channels just trying to cover their backs? Anyway it's one thing to put a warning before an episode saying there are scenes of miscarriage, violence whatever. It's another to give details of the whole storyline weeks before.
I swear they have them before every episode now regardless of what's in it! There's always a warning of strong language or upsetting scenes and then literally nothing happens 😅
I for one would appreciate a warning about all the scenes of people throwing up that producers love to stick in while I'm eating my tea!

Haha yeah. The swearing thing is dumb. They never actually swear and as if that’s a big deal in the 21st Century anyway. Mary Whitehouse is dead people!

Peter's return has been a real disappointment and the personality transplant hasn't helped. He's nothing like the previous incarnations. As soon as Ian left they turned Peter into a younger version of Ian.

Wasn't he supposed to have a drug problem when he lived in New Zealand?
What about his son who is never mentioned? They haven't even given him a romance either.

It’s like when Ian left they gave his scripts to Peter and just crossed out Ian’s name. As if he would just turn into Ian’s mini-me the second Adam Woodyatt walked out the door

Peter has had flings with Lola, Ash and Ash’s mum Suki but nothing long term since his return
