It’s stupid. They live in London without any housing expenses yet seem to be broke. They’ve not even updated the old lady decor of Dot’s place. Sonia could easily be on 40k plus as an experienced nurse. If Reiss got the tube and worked in the city as a qualified accountant he’d get a decent salary. He could even work from home, nobody on the square does that!

Reiss is a major irritant but if Sonia is stupid enough to lose her house because of him then bring it on. She gets what she deserves.

If the care home fees are 6k a month then it's unsustainable for stunning Debs to kip there anyway irrespective of what Reiss has already stolen.

But this is what I don’t understand, she’s been in there for years. How was he paying the fees before? He must have been living somewhere himself before he met Sonia. He would have had a mortgage/rent then and he doesn’t now. It doesn’t make sense that he’s suddenly broke.

I don’t really understand her condition. Can you be in a coma without being ventilated and in a hospital? And I ask that as an experienced nurse. The cost is extortionate, very few people could keep that up for long. What’s the long term plan for her?

I'm so sick of Sonia and Reiss, i hope Phil finds out about him swindling Sharon and baseball bats him outta Watford. I don't understand how long Debbie is going to be in a coma for? Like when do they call time? Maybe I'm being a bit hasty but is she going to get better? Also she's in a hospital and not a home? So many questions.

Penny has zero chance at the Albert, all shes going to do is horribly flirt with every guy in sight. Her character is so pointless.

I’m sure it doesn’t have to be sold to pay the fees if your still staying in, but there’s so much to Reiss back story we don’t know apart from dead debbie - did they have a house together, is so where is it? Did they both have jobs if so where is the money went? Did they even say how she ended up in a comma??

I googled this before and I’m sure Reiss said he came back from somewhere and she was unconscious in the bath. Obviously we just have his word for that and he could well have something to do with it. I think he could well have, he definitely has a dark side and no qualms about lying directly to people or stealing from them

He was watching University Challenge whilst she had a stroke in the bath…forgive me for the double entendre.
 
So Reiss and Debbie did have a house. He sold it to pay for her care and now the money is all gone. Given that Reiss is supposed to be a qualified accountant he must be the stupidest person in Walford (and that's saying something 😃).
The council wouldn't force you to sell your home if you were still living in it and if someone has no assets then the council would pay for her care.
We are now supposed to feel sorry for a man that wasn't very savvy with his own money but thinks its OK to rip others off 🙄

A summary of today's episode:
Reiss is a complete wazzock, Tommy is acting like an arse because he prefers Phil to his own dad and Linda is back on the booze 🫣 😴
