Just found out the actor who plays the Pastor was also this guy in the office

Hope she finds the courage to speak out. It was such a difficult watch. I completely relate to the feeling of shame of something you have no control over and feeling powerless. When I was really young a much older man touched me very inappropriately in public. In the middle of a train station!! I completely froze at first then walked away but he kept following me. I sat down and he sat really close to whisper things in my ear, kept kissing my cheek, neck, grabbing me and telling me how cute I was. I kept moving away with literal tears in my eyes and wondering why no one was helping. I didn't report any of it because it felt ridiculous to say out loud. Still traumatised thinking of it

I’m so sorry this happened to you ❤ I had an unpleasant encounter with a man in a public place at the weekend and like you, I wondered why no one around me looked up or checked if I was ok :(

I hope Yolande does report the pastor and I hope he gets his comeuppance

Very poignant episode wonderfully acted by Angela Wynter. I am another one with who it resonated with, a SA by a much older work colleague on me, at work, when I was young and in my first job which I never reported (sorry don’t mean to turn this thread into an “Me too” thread). Everything she said, every emotion was spot on. It would be great to see the Pastor get his comeuppance, especially after the ridiculous Dean storyline.

So how many women reported him in the past? Was there no link? Or was it just one who reported him? I hope he gets his comeuppance and gets his head kicked in in prison
It seems only one went to the police? Might be wrong though. The first woman wasn't supported by her friend when she said "oh he's a lot younger than you" then another's husband went to leave to assault him I guess. I think a lot of them thought that they wouldn't be believed as he is a man of God.

Highlight of the episode tonight was Yolande eating a cheese sandwich!!!! Couldn't believe someone was actually eating a prop. Angela Wynter probably brought it from home to save the prop department finding her something.

Eastenders are getting better at the little things. For example when Nadine got Jay a pint yesterday you could see lots of bubbles in it. Clearly a freshly pulled pint for his arrival and not a flat as a fart prop that had been on that table hours waiting to film the scene.

One went to the police and the CPS decided not to pursue it in court due to lack of evidence.
Another woman told her church and the priest told her to keep it to herself and that Gideon was being transferred.
The rest confided in friends / colleagues / hubby.

Im willing Denzel to kick his head in during a roid rage attack.

The only thing they got wrong tonight was not making that a stand alone episode, it fully deserved to be.

Angela Wynter was truly fabulous but also this is the first time I have really rated Harriet Thorpe, I don’t think she has had a chance to really show what she can do but tonight she absolutely nailed her scenes.

Apparently someone had been moaning that the drinks in the Vic never had ice in, and now they do haha

Great stuff. Realism when it comes to food and drink has been my Eastenders obsession for a long time. There is still work to do as the fruit bowl gift in today's episode was clearly artificial. If I start seeing steam coming from mugs in the cafe instead of them clearly being empty, then I would be happy 😀

Same. I didn’t like E-laine before tonight
