I’m sure we saw Jay stay over, she would have been making a fortune out of him if he was staying over regularlyHow was Nadine affording that swanky flat with one client?
Elaine’s advice was tip top for Patrick. A clean house is a turn on!!!

You could say the same about infidelity, murder, pedophilia etc?
Well you’ve got to decide whether you want to watch a believable or unbelievable soap really. I don’t see an issue with the assault storyline as it’s showing one I’ve never seen before.Yes. Until conviction rates for violence against women and girls and boys are appropriately proportionate in real life. At the minute we have Dean and the pastor, both serial rapists, neither convicted. Sadly for me any issue based approach here is thwarted by the on screen reminder that women aren't believed and men aren't convicted. The stats and storylines haven't changed since Kathy and Wilmott Brown. Retraumatizing on many levels for me.
I think George should take out his anger issues on Mr Creepy Pastor.
Much loved? She's only been there five minutes. And that was five minutes too long.View attachment 2880826Jade and her cough are finally off!!

I completely agree, I think us as the viewers deserve a storyline where a sexual assault takes place and he is charged and found guilty at a trial or pleads guilty. For me it's important especially for younger viewers who might think "oh I won't be believed, there's no point in reporting" because I wish I had that guidance from somewhere.Once, just once, can we see an SA storyline play out where the survivor is believed and the perpetrator prosecuted? Isn’t it irresponsible to continually show these assaults happening and no one being brought to justice. I know what the statistics are (I am part of them, as I’m sure a lot of the women reading this are too, possibly men), but continually showing unreported and/or unprosecuted attacks when some cases do make it to court, and perpetrators do go to prison, it feels gross and is only going to perpetuate the cycle of ‘don’t tell, nothing will happen’.
I really hope that my anger is misplaced and this isn’t where they are choosing to take this storyline.
Hopefully Yolande will find the courage to report the Pastor, turn detective to find all the other women he attacked in the past and emerge victorious with all the others supporting her.I completely agree, I think us as the viewers deserve a storyline where a sexual assault takes place and he is charged and found guilty at a trial or pleads guilty. It's been a long time since I had tears in my eyes watching EastEnders, but wow! Her performance had me so upset watching it this morning. She was fantastic! She deserves some awards for that. What an episode…..Angela Wynter was amazing and heartbreaking in her portrayal. The Pastor is very chilling and it’s the old tale that a man has been able to get away with historic abuse via being enabled by the system.
Is the much loved character in the room with us?...and who's the much loved character?
