I met Lacey Turner when Eastenders were filming near my work. ( She was really happy to have a photo). She was really lovely. I met Barbara Windsor at work she was a regular customer. She didn't wear any make up when shopping but did wear her wig. She was also so lovely and warm. I also met her when I worked in a famous dept store. She was more glam in the later years I met her. I think that was down to being paid for appearances than general shopping. I met Barbara Windsor so many times and she was always so lovely and warm and kind.

I never met Barbara but I did meet her ex gangster husband in the 1980's who was NOT a nice person. He was very intimidating, I worked for him briefly and he was scary. I always wondered about why she would marry a man like that.

I don't get what she saw in him but the Krays and the East end gangsters were idolised. I don't see why myself? Her last husband seemed like a really nice guy.

Are you from London @cosmo girl? I am, no one I know idolised the Krays a pair of ruthless psychopaths. It’s fairer to say they attracted interest, for all the wrong reasons of course. Old time Londoners might say “they only killed their own kind” .. make of that what you will.
And yes Barbara had a very happy marriage with Scott, probably the only man in her life who made her happy.
