Only kept watching out of sheer habit but really think I am going to have to stop now. Is it just me or does anyone else feel like it's been the Whitney show for the past few years? As if she's the main character and the others are just supporting characters. Feels like she's been getting a lot of screen time/major storylines for a long time. Callum/Ben thing, Leo, prison, and after Kush I thought they'd let her finally fade into the background for a bit but no, now it's a singing career and this stuff with Gray. Even when the 2008 episodes came out during lockdown the tagline was all "Relive Whitney's arrival to the square" or something like that.

I see your point and would rather see someone like Shirley get a decent storyline.

The show has gone down hill lately and the major characters seem to have been sidelined in favour of the younger characters such as Whitless, Keegan, Tiffany, Bobby and Dotty. I would certainly rather be watching Phil, Kat, Janine, Ben and Shirley over them.

Bernie leaving suddenly took me by surprise but I think she's only gone on a break rather than leaving permanently.
I don't think that Sheree is going to be coming back.

Watching 2008/2009 has made me miss Hev 'n Shirl

It’s nonsensical to me that Whitney could be groomed by a paedophile, solicited into prostitution, have a disastrous marriage and serveral engagements, be stalked and almost murdered by a boyfriend, and still not be able to spot a red flag.

I'm watching episodes from 2010 and honestly, EE was so much better back then. I've given up on the current one.

I haven’t properly watched the show in a few years now. I’ve just been dipping in and out whenever it looks interesting or if I read something on here. I think one of the reasons why I’ve never got back into it is because there’s just too much going on. I understand it’s a tv show but it gets a bit boring when every episode there’s some great problem or incident that’s then just forgotten about.

Has anyone seen the news that they're doing a big crossover with the other soaps next month for a storyline about climate change? Apparently they're gonna start referring to Weatherfield in EE and characters from other soaps are going to crop up.

I wouldn't be surprised if he came back. Why bring up Vincent's story after so long unless there's something more to it than just Kim finding out he's dead? I have a feeling there's more to come...

I wouldn’t mind Vincent returning. He was OK. What's happened to Kim's children? Pearl was the cutest. I thought that the child playing the part was Tameka's daughter in real life.

The oddest part of this storyline is that Jack didn't make fake Vincent go down to the police station but instead accepts it's all a gangster thing that he should turn a blind eye to really!
