I could have sworn Gray started off as a “City” lawyer and then was morphed into a local solicitor working on criminal cases and literally whatever else legal problem the locals had. But making Johnny a “local lawyer” would give him something to do I suppose.

As you say, give him two weeks and he will be asking if you want chips with that.

and then Gray lost his job and ended up working in a burger bar

I often wonder where soap children are. I’ve been watching since just before Christmas when the six advertising drew me in, and I think yesterday was the first time I’ve seen Ollie. Where is Charlie all the time while Stacey is in her van, Lily is at school and Jean is wandering round the square or popping in to see Jade?! And where is Louie? Not seen since the airport?!
Also where has Harvey gone? I don’t recall seeing him in ages. I know he’s not missed but it’s just ridiculous the way these characters disappear without a trace

Gray was that rare type of lawyer who could take on any case. Property dispute? He was there. Murder charge? Better Call Gray. Advice on divorce? Yeah why not. It’s like Supernurse Sonia who specialises in every medical field.

Bradley was another example of characters having to work within a 0.5 mile radius of Walford. Started off as a city boy and ended up running the used car lot with his dad. Are the characters in the square not aware that they can use the tube to commute to jobs? It’s not just for dramatic midnight exits.
