Kat had a good point when she told Stacey to back off over her renting one of Nish's properties as Stacey is living in a property owned by the Panesars.

So why are Suki and Eve trying to cram into the Slater Tardis house?
They could have moved into the vacant flat because Suki must be a co-owner of that as well 🫠

The woman who plays Elaine is more of a larger than life stage actress she is too OTT for the small screen.

I don’t know if anyone else my age has this problem, but I keep thinking she’s going to say “Yes Mr Brittas” in a particular voice and open a drawer or two underneath the Vic bar to reveal small children sleeping in there.

I am glad they acknowledged the Tardis house in recent dialogue. I realise they need everyone living on the Square and that it creates more character interaction if people bump into each other over breakfast or coming back from The Vic etc but no way would Suki and Eve be crashing with that lot.

I loved The Brittas Empire. If I hadn’t read she was Carol I would never have guessed

Obviously she plays the two roles very differently but I remember her face well. I seem to recall my Dad VHSed them and I would watch each episode about five times (what an intellectual child!!)

We have had an “On the Buses” in-joke for the late Aunt Sal so please can someone put a small child in a drawer or at least a drinks cabinet for Lorraine (might be more niche).

It is ridiculously unrealistic that everyone either lives on the square or moves miles away never to be seen again. I think you could easily have a few characters who don’t actually live on the square itself but nearby, especially those who work on the market/cafe/in the bar or salon etc thus giving them a reason to be on the square every day without having to live there and therefore cram all the characters into about 5 houses…I’m not sure the writers are aware that most people don’t live, work and socialise all within 50 steps
