Eastenders #25 Happy Dead Body Day!

I am looking forward to tonight's episode.

Just thinking what really worked for Eastenders was not allowing spoilers. They built last night up, up, up and didn't let us, the viewers, down. I loved the fact that we didn't know who was going to die. I genuinely think that was one of the best Christmas episodes of any soap, in years.

I might rewatch today. There were so many bits I loved. Phil barging into the church in full on angry Phil mode.
The women in The Vic, all looking smashing. I loved their reaction to Suki's revelation about her and Eve. The summoning of Nish - he was brilliant. Trying to look cool and collected as he came in.

Oh there's loads more. Ravi appearing in the house, after his release from jail. Ravi helping Suki to get out of the house. So many great moments. That is another thing that really worked, it felt like there was no wasted time. Sometimes in Christmas episodes of any soap, things seem to get dragged out to fill an hour.

I don't watch any other soap these days, but I think they would find it hard to compete with Eastenders right now.

If I was Kathy I think I’d just quietly slip out the back door, head over to Ian’s, down a bottle of Bailey’s and pretend I hadn’t seen anything! She’s not involved with Nish or Keanu and didn’t murder or assault anyone, she needs to step away.

You know what I’ve always wanted to know … how many bats does Phil actually have. Does he have a full under stairs cupboard of them, does he just have one special bat with his initials on, does he have multiple sports equipment, this is the thing I want answering the most

I think he has a mini riot room in the cupboard under the stairs with every type of weapon imaginable, all customised to fit his grip and in his chosen colour way. He has nicknames for them all ‘Peggy’ is his favourite bat, ‘Grant’ is his trusty knuckle duster etc

Spoiler: Theory after today’s ep

Rocky saw them go into the cafe. Maybe he will go in after they leave. Maybe go in drunk and sleeps. Someone sees the door open. Somehow the body is found and then he goes down for the murder and that’s his exit

Loved the episode. Glad Nish isn’t dead because I think the character and actor are so good!

however how is he going to continue as a character? Everyone knows about Suki and Eve, ravi has turned against him. I don’t see what can happen now?

I told my mum I was grateful. And I think she thought I was going to say grateful for a good day but I said I was grateful Ravi is safe
