Gina has low emotional intelligence and life experience, she just doesn’t understand Linda’s situation and reminds me of one of those spoiled girl’s at school or work that just rolls their eyes if someone else has a bad day and can’t cope 😢

I think EE are treading on a very ill-judged story with Gina, Linda and Dean. But I suppose it is to show Linda is driven to drink and despair 😔
 
George, Elaine, Gina and Anna all talk like they’ve something in their mouth. Also Elaine and George shout almost every sentence.

The Knights just haven’t gelled with me at all despite the show making every effort.

Gina and this storyline is yet another error. She’s not a strong actress and I feel like this type of storyline really need the actors to have chemistry for it it work… or one half of the couple not be a rapist… or either actor able to act.
 
I know in real life rapists can get away with what they’ve done and act all innocent because unfortunately a lot of the time rapists never get charged they get to go on living their lives without a care in the world to the damage they’ve done to their victim so in a way it is believable that in this storyline Dean so far all these years has got away with what he did to Linda and there will be people who believe him.

I think it’s messed up that of all people to believe he’s innocent is attention seeking nosy Gina who clearly lacks any intelligence and can’t see through his bs especially when her dad is dating Linda’s mum so Linda is family to her now and surely anyone with sense can see Linda isn’t a bad person she isn’t sly she wouldn’t lie she’s very clearly traumatised whenever she’s in Deans presence but I think Gina fancies Dean so much that all she cares about is getting close to him so she doesn’t give a tit about Linda.

I hate this innocent act Dean is putting on it’s awful but it happens in real life so it’s sadly one of these things that does happen. I guess they want Linda to turn to alcoholism to make more of a storyline out of this and maybe eventually Dean will be killed or sent to prison if he’s caught admitting the truth or he’s caught attempting to rape someone else maybe then he’ll finally get what he deserves and Linda will get justice. What’s making me uncomfortable is I’ve seen on TikTok in comments of Eastenders videos that some people feel sorry for Dean and saying he’s nice he’s trying to be a good dad Linda should forgive him. I haven’t seen lots of comments saying that but I’ve seen more than one and all the comments look like they’re from women who are adults.

I know Easetnders is just a show it isn’t real and they do storylines that aren’t always fair because life isn’t fair these things happen I get that but it’s a little worrying how people watching the show can think Dean hasn’t done anything wrong because if they think that about a character would they think the same in real life?
 
^^^ agreed. Yes, soaps are for entertainment and often ridiculous but most of them try to shed light on important issues. I feel like sexual assault is too misunderstood and overlooked for a storyline like this to work. And usually, they do these storylines to educate in some way and raise awareness. What the hell are we gaining from this Dean story for a SECOND time???

We've already dealt with this and now they're resurrecting it so they can do it again but worse. I'm really confused. I'm still waiting for the bigger purpose/meaning of the storyline.
 
Reiss and Sonia storyline is so unrealistic. As someone who’s has 2 rounds of IVF, it’s not showing the real journey of ivf at all, so why bother putting it in.. ok so maybe Debbie is going to wake up and ask wtf is going on and where her money has gone..! But why the need for the ivf storyline if you are just going to skim over it.
 
Totally seems that the EE continuity writing is so tedious, terrible, and inconsistent at times.

We’ve had some on-the-edge-of-your-seat drama with Suki’s storyline, and some hilarity with Sharon’s. I can only hope it’s as manic as that in the next couple of weeks!

But at the moment it’s dragging on and reverting to filler weeks of boring BS like it has been with Linda’s, Kathy’s, then Stacy’s and Dee’s to follow.

This! The inconsistencies are driving me mad. Egg collection is always done first thing in the morning and they sedate you and your in pain and out of it for the rest of the day so I don’t get why Sonia was at the carol service.

The block storytelling needs to end IMO
 
I’m actually enjoying everything now going out. I find Michelle Collins so comical, she’s so bad at acting. Both in the santas grotto with Bobby and her shocked face in the vic, hilarious.

I find it very interesting that the men are also all now at loggerheads with each other. I can see the events of Christmas Day being nothing that any of us could have suspected. I’m getting a bit of a soft spot for Bernie (couldn’t stand her interfering in the caff) but I love how Sharon is looking out for her after Karen has fled. It looks like she has some big scenes coming up regarding the wedding.
