Regardless of when he left, I don't think they would've removed him as a potential victim this close to Christmas (at the time of filming). They'd already shown Kathy in the flashforward episode and spent all that time on Rocky's storyline. The only way I can see them fixing it is changing upcoming storylines so Kathy suddenly hates one of the other men. Maybe that's where Phil comes in? Or Nish?
I’m sure I read somewhere Kathy understands why rocky done what he done eventually after she learns how nish has been pressuring rocky for money!?

Did we miss this at the time? Look what’s carved on the tree in the right of this picture…

I’m as sure as I can be that no one is killing Phil on Christmas Day. Steve is going nowhere, apart from panto for a few weeks. He will be discovering that Albie is his son, and that Keanu kidnapped him. Phil is a huge part of EE, and still has plenty of mileage left. He will only ever leave if Steve quits.
I’ll do a Gillian Mckeith in front of the whole damn fam if it’s my Phil! 😮‍💨

Kathy told four people to leave as she wanted to be left alone. Wouldn't it be easier if one person to be left alone that the one person went elsewhere?

Having watched the Eastenders Six show, I hope it's not a mix and match death with someone killing for someone else. For example if Nish ends up dead because of Kathy I will feel short changed.
