Lexi is wooden af
*plasticPatsy Kensit was miscast as Lola's mum imo , she is so wooden
God I miss Shirley
The thing that annoys me with EE is that they just forget about some characters and put all the focus on others. E.g there’s been so much fuss about Lexi’s first day of school but not even a mention that it’s Mia(?) first too. They could have done some great scenes between the two families as they both navigate it without their mums but Chantelle is all but forgotten these days.
Yes exactly poor Mia, her mum was murdered and her dad's in prison. She's had it worse.there’s definitely a two tier system between the characters. tier 1 is the characters get all the storylines (whitney, ben, stacey, sharon etc) and tier 2 is the supporting cast.
like you say all this fuss about lexi and how lexi is coping with losing her mum…. but nothing about mack and mia, who lost both parents and their home. and have an ex stepmother who is living in their home and has apparently forgotten they exist.
We've not been given any information on that. When is Shirley back?
Shirley can move in with Jean. I’m sure they can find some room somewhere .Agree re Shirley. She’s one of my favourites but it’s hard to see where she would fit in now. For starters where would she even live?! There’s definitely no room at the Vic. I really liked her friendship with Jean and would love to see more of that but other than that it’s hard to see what she would do/what storylines she would have now the Carters are all but gone.
Also, IF George was to end up back with Cindy would he and the girls lose the Vic? Who actually paid for it - him or Elaine? Seeing as Linda still owns half (right?) that would be an interesting dynamic and I’m tempted to think they want the whole “Queen Vic family” vibe rather than just Linda and Elaine running the place
I think George sold his bar in Spain (and presumably that lovely house we saw in the flashback) to go in with Elaine who must have put up some money as well but I'm not sure.Agree re Shirley. I think they have a loft conversion as well. That’s true, the Slaters do live in a tardis. How many bedrooms do these houses have? I always presumed it was 2 but there’s no way they’re squeezing Stacey, Lily, Jean and Harvey, Eve and Arthur and the other kid in two rooms. It has to have at least 5 bedrooms Alrhough I think the Slaters have seemingly turned the back dining room into a bedroom from the glimpse I caught of it the other day? No wonder they have to squeeze the dining table into the already tiny kitchen.
I can’t help but think the council would have offered them a bigger house by now
Does anyone remember when Shirley’s storylines seem to naturally have ran out. Heather was dead she had no real no connection on the Square with anyone. She disappeared for months then came back with a whole new family that had never been mentioned before. It was like they reinvented her. But they have all filtered away too now. If Dean comes back with her I don’t see the storyline doing the character any favours.

Lexi has 3 dads plus Billy and family and Phil as her grandad.
Mia is living in a cramped flat with no parents and as you say her stepmother has got the house that should have gone to her and her brother by rights.
There’s no way they’d be able to bring Dean back as a permanent character IMO, you can’t have a rapist swanning around the square forever. So even if they did bring him back with Shirley, he would have to leave at some point leaving her own her own again and likely a ruined character after she’s publicly supported her son
